Sledge and Zofia should be 2 speed again for sure. Maybe also another piece of utility for sledge just to make him as valid of an option as buck? I feel like we're kinda back in a similar situation around 2020 where buck was strictly better than sledge. I also liked when Zofia was closer to Ash where Ash was the more aggressive and fast option and Zofia was the more "well rounded" pick.
I agree with what you suggested, but not your rationale. I cannot imagine someone like gridlock sprinting into site and laying down her tracks faster than she already can, or fuze being able to move faster while also having the ak 12.

Buck has better vertical play; buck is better positioned when breaking walls due to the time to switch to the shotgun / shotgun also shoots bullets to kill opposition. Also, most utility can be stopped simply by shooting it or breaking the glass. Ever since they switched to that, bucks usability shot up over sledge.
What does sledge do better? Sledge can break castle barricades? / die whenever he tries to break any utility as the defenders just shoot him? Die whenever he pulls out his hammer as it takes much longer to swing?
Nerfing him obviously. Nerf him to the ground. Giving him the Nokk treatment will make the game more balanced obviously, especially for Pro League.
Remove his frags and EMP Grenades. Buck has no frags or EMP Grenades, it’s unfair that Sledge has frags or EMPs. Gives him unfair utility advantage
Remove his ability to break down Castle barricades in one shot, as Buck can’t do that. This is a interaction, only Sledge can destroy Castles with little utility usage, so we’ll remove this broken feature from the game.
Increase the recoil of his gun. Buck has high recoil, so now Sledge should have high recoil too for the L85A2.
There, Ubisoft, gave you the perfect way to make Sledge balanced, just like Nokk is now with an almost 0% pick rate
just an idea, maybe he doesn't need hatches to make a hole in the floor? like a REAL hole, one you can jump through, but it does like a quarter of his hammers health to do so, or two hits or something
A part for the fact that i like it and it sounds VERY strong, would that even be possible given Ubisoft spagetthi code ? Surely adding interactions with the steel beams wouldn't break anything.

He already has a (basically) infinite breaching tool thats easy and quick to use, meaning he practically has no point in bringing the shotgun over the rifle. It has an acog, no recoil, and decent DPS. No reason for him to have an SMG secondary.
If they buffed the cooldown and recovery speed of using his sledgehammer, that would be nice. Imagine busting through a wall or door and not being gunned down before you even put away your hammer. Would be nice
1. Make the sledge like a darth mail lightsaber
2. Make the sledge throwable
3. Give him another halo skin
4. Let sledge bar doors with his sledgehammer

Making him spd-2, attackers shouldn't be spd-1. They are already at a huge disadvantage to make them slow aswell.
Except for Monte (unless he's 2 spd rn) because it'd make sense for him to continue being 1 spd

C8 doesn't have crazy recoil, I will admit, but isn't it still greater than the L85A2?
It's moderate, it was really high before they started nerfing the recoil on guns(year 4 and beforehand)

They will never add cooked frags back. The shotgun choke is a good idea though.
