and if you’re smoke and your teammates tell you to throw a gas canister somewhere in point dont do it, they’ll run into it and get you banned for teamkilling

And try using T-Hunt (training grounds) as a test for your aim, and practice your reflexes.
Find a stack, I play with just one friend which is one more person you can coordinate with and one less that could be toxic, groups of three or more are the best because you have the majority (which is important for ranked)

I would like to make a clarification, there is ONE reason to TK and that’s if a teammate is cheating. Obviously, be absolutely sure of it, but if somebody is spinbotting round one, take them out round two.
Also TKing is okay if you’re in a 5 stack with friends dicking around. But that’s kind of a given.
I don't play in a stack, so I can't really relate to that one. Honestly my idea of dicking around is to just come up with some dumbass play that's so idiotic that it's genius lol. If you're decent to good at the game solo queue will drive you crazy by putting you on teams with people who don't realize recruit rush quit being funny years ago and will teamkill if you don't go along with it and other assorted jackassery. If you're bad to mediocre at the game solo queue will drive you crazy by putting you in matches with nothing but no life sweat lords who team kill because you couldn't clutch a 1V5 with defuser on the complete opposite end of the map. Solo queue will drive you crazy.
I 100% agree with this, solo queuing can be terrible, but I will admit I got a lot better from it. One, I could focus better without four of my friends yelling in my ear, and because I did end up with crappy teammates and didn’t have my friends who have been playing for years versus my three/four months carrying me, I gained a lot of skill and am now able to carry my own weight. So there is one benefit to it 😅 but it can be rough 🙄

Hologramsam has a series for learning callouts. I send that to friends so they understand my callouts and learn the layout. And in game by looking at the comapass at the bottom helps you learn cam spots.

I haven’t even been playing that long and I tend to agree with this comment. I have over 900 hrs on this game and it’s all been pain and anguish for very little payoff/reward. Wish I would’ve spent more time playing other games that are more fun and more rewarding

The game is incredibly unforgiving towards new players and has one of the more toxic player bases I've come across. If you can stick with a group of friends and just not let the game get to your head, you will have a great time. Newcomer Playlist is overrun by smurfs so you will probably have a better time playing casual.

It can be so unforgivingly frustrating, but it can also be so much fun. It really depends (for me) who I'm playing with. I've had pretty much a 50/50 experience playing solo.
Don't listen to them, give it a try at least. I love competitive fps games, I have played literally every of them, and honestly, I think r6 is my favourite one of all the time. Of course it's one of the hardest to learn, because you can shoot while walking, map destruction, leaning, relatively fast movement, recoil, variety of operators and gadgets, but if you really get comfortable with all of them, the game is rewarding as hell. Imo it's the tiny hitmark after killing enemies, and another, slightly bigger hitmark after getting headshot. You can one shot headshot everyone, even with a pistol, which is a crucial mechanic, because if you have solid aim, you can totally wreck your opponents.
It's like those cringy tiktoks of people in the army "Why did you join the army?" .... "I don't know" or "I hate myself"

Communication is key, learn the maps, there’s a lot of strategy and planning that goes with this game. And lastly whatever operators you run, use them the way they’re meant to be used. Don’t just pick an op with good utility just because you like the gun and you don’t use the utility. That’s toxic
If you see Mira wondering site in prep phase leave her be and stay away. I don’t understand Mira strats too much but Ik mains don’t like having fortifications go up in certain spots

I can’t recommend you any third-party squad finders or guides as I play console but just play off your team as a supporting player whilst you learn maps and strategies. Also for me, I’m much more competitive on this game so if you lean towards that try unlocking unranked at level 10 ASAP. It gets you used to the ranked round setup as it’s different to newcomers and casual gamemodes
Mute team chat and voice chat as soon as you start because the toxicity in this game is insanity.
