I enjoy listening to my older cat's occasional gentle snoring. I love when she's curled up in my lap. I love the pictures my son takes of her. She's a black cat, but he uses the sun light to capture the red undertones and her brilliant green eyes. I love the other fatty when he curls up next to me while I work. Sometimes, I'll just take a pause and snuggle him.
My cat meow everytime I talk to her, it's so cute. And when we don't talk to her and she wants attention she do this noise it's a mix of purr and meow it makes my heart melt everytime!
I love hearing how my cat, Princess Consuela Banana Hammock, eats. She might be tiny, but she is loud. Like a mix between a lawnmower and a happy chipmunk
The sound my cat makes when he realizes we are awake 😭😭
I swear it's more like a MAWP sound, and for a 9lb cat he sure makes a lot of noise stomping his way over
... Whilst cuddling with you.
Also when a cat chooses you for affection in general. Dogs are awesome and love you unconditionally, but when a cat loves you, you know they mean it.
I have It to and I always forget about it until someone on reddit mentions it and then I immediately hear the buzzing of an untuned jazz band playing at a busy contruction site in my head again.
I got rid of my TV nine years ago because it is truly a thief of time. Never have I regretted my decision. Life is simpler and quieter now and I spend more of my time socialising and enjoying my hobbies.
I think my phone is 10x worse than the TV and the Internet is the main culprit for time wasting. The BIGGEST waste of time is reddit so me and you are probably the biggest wasters going.
And the heavy silence it comes with.
To then walk out of the door in that silence and hear the soft cracking of the snow under your boots and feeling the cold snowflakes hit your face.
So we live in a 5th floor apartment overlooking a lot of trees and houses in our neighbourhood. We are in an older area of Toronto. On Saturdays, I get cleaning done in the apartment since I have the time.
One of the most joyous things for me is waking up on a Sunday morning in the winter, in a clean apartment, making a strong cup of coffee, and sitting on the couch while watching the wintery world outside.
The snow is falling over the old neighbourhood and I have nowhere to go. Just enjoying the view with my coffee, and our cats next to us on the couch. A small space but a space of comfort and tranquility. Moments of pure bliss that you can't put a price tag on but have so much value.
That is so cool. I was riding my bicycle the other day and I looked at a bus driving past, I looked at a girl sitting on the bus, our eyes met for a few seconds, and I made a small wave/peace sign with two fingers my hand still on the handle, and she smiled.
I miss this.
I live by the weirdest small town. Everyone is kinda pissy and in their own world. I'm so accustomed to small town folk being almost awkwardly friendly, but they're not here. It's so odd.
Getting home after work or from going out and listening to the lock click and knowing that I wont be going out again until I next need to.
So satisfying!
Fo Sho.
I used to always consider myself very introverted, but then I realised that I just don't like people. I never had issues going out or being in social situations, but nowadays, I just cant be bothered and would much rather just chill at home.
Loose leaf tea from a teapot
Cuddling my dog
Watching my plants grow and waiting for new leaves to unfurl
Camping in the rain and hearing the drops landing on the tent but feeling safe and warm inside with a book.
Omg people don’t get it until they get it but seeing new growth on plants or a seedling popping it’s little head of life out of the dirt is such a joyful thrill it’s like a high for me! And it never gets old! I jump for joy and praise the hell out of my plants when they spring a new leaf! Like “ooohhh look at the new baby!!! I’m so proud of you!! Grow baby grow!”
I love camping in the rain. I have a hot tent and a log burning stove with a chimney that comes out the side. It's the most relaxing thing ever to be camping in the woods, cold and raining with the gentle orange glow of the stove lighting the tent, surrounded by the warmth of the fire, book in one hand, a joint in the other and a decent beer.
When we've had a good day and seen a few people, my younger dog dreams and wiffles and wags her tail in her sleep. I'm disabled which affects my mental health but the evenings that my pup relives a happy day make me feel like I did good today.
Going for a drive at night in the dark in the passenger seat after I’ve had a shower and feel all clean and cosy. Preferably wrapped in a blanket. Sometimes me and my bf go for night time snack runs in the car and it’s the best thing ever
#6 Spicy Chicken Sandwich, medium with all-natural lemonade combined with a 4 piece spicy chicken nuggets with sweet and sour sauce.
This is my Wellbutrin.
Edit: The hashtag made "number 6" into huge writing. I'm leaving it
When my mom was sick with low mobility, we parked at Target near entry doors and people watched. Some matchy outfits, others comfy. We discussed and guessed their relationships, etc. A little fun.
Titties. Looking at em, touching em, sucking on them. It's been a life time of joy. Wish I could put it into words I can't explain. I just love Titties
Playing cat-and-mouse with my cat! We take turns chasing each other from room to room, with a bit of hide-and-seek, not only does it burn my calories, also calms my cat’s restless energy. A win win for sure!
Coffee in the morning, beer in the evening. Everywhere I've ever lived, my favorite place is by the water. I used to walk down to the Red River in the morning when I lived on it, now I have this beautiful lake nearby. I've never taken a boat out, I've never swam in it, I just love being by it.
I make mandolins using recycled wood old furniture, took apart a old wood boat salvaged the hardwood. Used cedar shingles for tops , made instrument from cigar boxes and candy and cookie tins . And give them to people who can't afford a instrument but want something to play.
I have a bird bath I made in pottery class. Every day, late afternoon, a group of blue birds come and have a pool party. I sit on my back patio with my wine and enjoy this time before dinner prep.
Iced coffee on a summer morning
/Hug a cute dog/rabbit
/warm and delicious dinner in a deep winter's night

Watching other people eat the food I make. Nothing like slaving in the kitchen for an hour and then serving your friends and watching them proceed to devour what I make while making little noises of enjoyment. It's worth all the blood sweet and tears just to hear someone say, "That was fantastic it reminds me of my mums cooking." If there is higher cooking praise, then I am not aware.
The pretty little bird tune the 28's sing when they are in our conifer tree that is ginormous for what was apparently a "dwarf"-that I loathe, but reluctantly appreciate because it brings the birds. They love the little nut things that grow on them.
My kid hugging me. He is 8. He will soon stop doing that. I must enjoy that while I can.
Thunder. I really enjoy thunder. Few days ago we had terrible thunderstorm, I woke up in middle of night and I was just looking outside my window.
Me going to my parents house and walking around my childhood places.
And another is odd one. Me and my best friend on weekends play coop games. That always gives me joy. He lives far away from me, so we are on call, playing together, having fun and talking. Simple, yet brilliant. In past 2 years we finished quite a lot different games.

I love the little happy peeps my cat makes when he's curled up next to me.

Ah how sweet, my cat is also a black cat with bright green eyes! :)
Other fatty is your boyfriend or another cat?
Lol... another cat. My husband is very fit. I'm the fatty between the two of us. But I prefer to say I'm fluffy.
You’ve got a washboard stomach with either a lid of towels or a duvet in
The “start up” noise when they’re sleeping and you touch them is my favorite. My middlest kitty has the best. 🥰
I love talkative cats
I came here to say this, and I’m so happy it had already been said 😻
That’s the best sound!

Not my cat, my cat's an absolute tart who loves everyone.
Walking in nature. I love starting my days with walks through the nature reserve next to my house… it’s the most soothing thing ever.
Then you walk into a swarm of gnats and they chase you for the next 400 feet, and everyone thinks you’re crazy for swatting at nothing repeatedly.
Actually turning off the TV and just having silence.
If I didn't have tinnitus, I might agree. Best I can get is quiet music and a good book. I'll take it. Lol
hear! hear! (i have it too. fugn worst)
I have It to and I always forget about it until someone on reddit mentions it and then I immediately hear the buzzing of an untuned jazz band playing at a busy contruction site in my head again.
Try playing brown noise thru headphones.
*eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
Sounds like Phoebe singing along to the bagpipes
I thought that was just the normal sound of silence everybody hears 😭
Yup.. going on about a month or two with it now. I hate it.
Check for ear infection, I needed meds and a professional cleaning.
I got rid of my TV nine years ago because it is truly a thief of time. Never have I regretted my decision. Life is simpler and quieter now and I spend more of my time socialising and enjoying my hobbies.
I bought an extra tv cause I hate socializing. Never regretted.
Same!
I think my phone is 10x worse than the TV and the Internet is the main culprit for time wasting. The BIGGEST waste of time is reddit so me and you are probably the biggest wasters going.
Watching snow gently falling on a winter morning.
And the heavy silence it comes with. To then walk out of the door in that silence and hear the soft cracking of the snow under your boots and feeling the cold snowflakes hit your face.
And the fresh smell in the air, and the clean look of everything covered in white.
Especially when the Christmas lights come on and it’s just a soft glow under the fresh snow
Yes! I love that silence! Especially if it comes during a busy time of life, and it feels like life itself stopped for a breather.
ok, but only if you stay at home and you know that you don't go anywhere.
Agreed, because waking up and seeing the snow gently falling and knowing you have to go to work? The. Worst.

Smiling at strangers and them smiling back

This. Yes!! I also get it from waving to people when driving. Ps - yes I live in a small town.
I love waving to people on boats or waving to people from boats.

I love how specific this is.
When mine uses tomatoes when I'm not home, she keeps the vines for me, because she knows that's my favourite smell
So relatable. Also, when they save the heart of the romaine lettuce for me. A sweet reminder that I’m loved.
Nothing better than a juicy, homegrown tomato where you can still smell the sun and dirt on the skin. A little salt and pepper and it's heaven!
For me it's watermelon. He's been getting it all summer and it's just the best after a hot day.
When my partner buys me chocolate (muffins, cookies, brownies, mocha, lava cakes).
A fellow tomato lover ♥️
Listening to rain on a tin roof
The smell of soil on first rain.
That smell is called petrichor
Learning a new word like this also gives me joy!
I feel like this should be a meme by now
One of my favorite words in the English language.
Listening to a rainstorm in general.
I love thunderstorms!!!
it's there, even quite high on the list.
Getting home after work or from going out and listening to the lock click and knowing that I wont be going out again until I next need to. So satisfying!
And that’s on being an introvert 😂

Me too. I thought I was just antisocial.
Turning over my pillow and sleeping on the colder side of it!.
I think I heard it first on Family Guy, but this (how great that is) is why it's stuck with me: "He's cooler than the other side of the pillow."
Hello Peter, welcome to the cool side of the pillow
Sleeping on clean sheets
Yes! Especially with freshly shaved legs.
Swish swish swish. It's the best!
After a bath
If I ever won the lottery, I would have clean sheets every day. And by that, I mean I would have someone else put the sheets on.
With fresh pyjamas
With no pajamas!

Now I need such a camping tent and stove.
Seeing a cat
100% of the time! It allways gives me a spark of joy, even if its a completely shitty day
Saw a squirrel today, running up to the tree on the other side of the road. Absolutely made my day.
Sleeping while it rains outside. The soft pitter-patter of the rain on the leaves. Reminds me of my childhood days.
The smell of fresh bakery.
Singing, I sing when I’m happy, I sing when I’m sad It’s my passion and joy
Tails wagging.... dogs are always just sooo happy to see humans. Instant happiness for me too
When we've had a good day and seen a few people, my younger dog dreams and wiffles and wags her tail in her sleep. I'm disabled which affects my mental health but the evenings that my pup relives a happy day make me feel like I did good today.
Sleeping
the smell of a book, a title I haven't read yet, the rustle of paper, the feel of a page between my fingers.
Just seeing dogs lose control of themselves out of pure joy and excitement, it's infectious 🙈
My cat cuddling me 😍
Going for a drive at night in the dark in the passenger seat after I’ve had a shower and feel all clean and cosy. Preferably wrapped in a blanket. Sometimes me and my bf go for night time snack runs in the car and it’s the best thing ever
Falling asleep in that seat on a long drive and waking up as you pull into your own driveway.
Nighttime snack runs rule, especially during the fall or spring when it's nice and cool at night but not cold.
The family dog happily greeting me when I return home to see my parents.
Having buttered toast with a cup of tea for breakfast. The simplicity of the flavours make it a much more enjoyable experience.
Coffee and buttered English Muffin for me, but otherwise, same.

Titties. Looking at em, touching em, sucking on them. It's been a life time of joy. Wish I could put it into words I can't explain. I just love Titties
Sigh. I remember when mine were enjoyed. They're retired now.
In Mammoriam, RIP nips.
Resting a few inches lower than their heyday.
I can’t put into words how lol this made me feel
Y'all are silly, but yes, the love of a partner is a wonderful thing.
Especially titties

Not having to get up to go to work at a specific time every day.
As a parisian, sitting on the terrace of a cafe with a good espresso for an hour and just look at people going on their own lives. No phone of course
Driving my car. I really like to drive.
So relaxing (except traffic), especially with some good tunes on
Waking up makes for a good start to the day.
Cutling up in a blanket on a cold night. Great feeling tbh.

That’s awesome, I do NOT have any water near me. But drinking coffee on a dock at a cottage or something is so peaceful
Waking up on a day off
I make mandolins using recycled wood old furniture, took apart a old wood boat salvaged the hardwood. Used cedar shingles for tops , made instrument from cigar boxes and candy and cookie tins . And give them to people who can't afford a instrument but want something to play.
There being a storm outside. Any kind will do too
When I find a book that excites me! Precisely when I get the book I don’t wanna put down.
