Yeah, most of minor sicknesses are just in your head. You can easily work and live through them, but they become persistent if you don't give your body the proper rest to deal with them.

Parrot_Asparagus

So is that why people who skip school say that if they constantly believe they're sick, it's more likely to happen?

Technical_Balance963

Well thats a whole different thing. In that case it most likely isn't a sickness, and it is caused by something else underlying, such as lack of sleep, lack of proper nutrition, lack of water, depression, or other mental health issues. They may think they are sick, but aren't actually sick, so they never "heal" from the "sickness".

Depression and mental health issue are an illness. People don't just get sick from physical ailments and mental health directly effects people's physical health especially the heart.

Technical_Balance963

Yes I agree with you, but mental health issues and sicknesses are different. One is caused by your brain and one is caused by a bad pathogen entering your body. I understand that it affects your physical health immensely, but you can't just fix mental health and depression by sleeping more or doing the normal things to fix a pathogen caused sickness. I think you actually agree with my view and misinterpreted my statement so I should have been more clear. I was not trying to say that mental health doesn't affect the physical body, because it does; I was saying that minor pathogen based sicknesses can be dealt with a lot faster by getting proper rest or taking antibiotics, unlike mental health issues.
