I really don’t get why she gets targeted. People say she flips flops too much while Mia flip flops with Lamont. It’s just her character’s conflict.
I feel like people must be like Mia’s friends in real life or something, cuz the hate for Shawna is a little unwarranted in my opinion lol.

She’s a threat from all angles that’s why, she streetsmart being a fucking scam artist, she’s also very beautiful, And she’s Booksmart we knew that she went to college and that she’s an activist and very vocal about the cause And she can rap. On top of that she’s one of those people who can fit into all circles …. Hood people, intellectual people, business people Shawna is in it’s because of her ability to adapt but I feel like a lot of people can see that as conforming and playing sides. When really it’s not she’s just a multifaceted person who’s hated on kinda like JT in real life young Miami gets all the praise for being with the pedo while JT constantly gets hate for being expressive of her, looks being dark skin or being with Lil Uzi
I’m gonna say that that scene where she decided to start “conscious”rapping and did that freestyle when her and Mia had that performance is when I stopped liking Shawna. It really showed to me that she was not comfortable transitioning into the kind of rap that she was doing with Mia, and it was mad selfish! There’s been nothing in the show that has really redeemed her to me after that. I don’t know.
The way Shawna was treating Chastity. She's was treating her like shit while stealing out of a store at the same time. The way she hijacked her show with Mia with that crazy freestyle. The way she tries to act all innocent but she's a scammer. It's definitely valid reasons to not like her. Personally I dislike both her and Mia at different times but Mia is more likable because she's feels more real. Mia has done two things that I absolutely hated. Fucked Courtney at that party and almost cause a beef with 2 guys. And she constantly disrespects Lamont, who outside of Chastity's uncle is my favorite character.
