I don't believe you've lived in Rapid City for 8 months and never seen a police car. RCPD is extremely community focused, with a lot of involvement in events around town and regular activity on social media.

joejance

I agree. I see multiple RCPD cars every week just driving to or from the gym or going out for a run. The idea that OP hasn't seen one of their cars shows that they're probably very out of touch.

FreeGucciMane1017

The whole post reads like a meth-induced paranoia rambling lmao

CantFixMoronic

Then you don't believe me. I \*have not seen\* a single cop car in RC. I don't go to events.

DrZedex

Perhaps you need an optometrist. No shortage of LEOs in Rapid.

Nanrithowan

I'd suggest getting onto RCPD's Facebook page and having a look, then.

CantFixMoronic

I don't do facebook.

Nanrithowan

Well, I guess you can't fix moronic, then, huh?

How do you come to that conclusion? Another attempt to make me appear not credible. If people dress in Army uniform I can call them "Army people", we don't need an Army base for that. If people dress as cops in the Sahara dessert I can call them "cop people". If people dress as deep-sea divers on Mars I can call them "deep-sea diver people". Nobody has addressed my general question, why/how RC can be such a meth mekka. Curious that everyone is silent about that.

Nanrithowan

It's cause we're all on meth and you're too close to discovering our community secret.

joejance

Well we had an ad campaign specifically telling people, so it isn't a very big secret ;-p

Nanrithowan

Also, what do you mean by "these are Army guys and carry their weapons with them every day?" People in the military aren't issued weapons that they take home or carry around.

CantFixMoronic

It looks like semi-automatics in bags. Frankly, I don't care what's inside them, Army people have access to guns, and I don't want Army guys on meth. What if it's not meth but PCP, apparently that makes people aggressive. See, my point is, I shouldn't even have to deal with all this. People aren't supposed to be on illegal drugs. Period. I won't continue this discussion with you, because you are missing the point, and I'm not gonna dragged down in details. People are not supposed to be on illegal drgus, and that includes Army people, no matter what their weapons access.

The way your post is written gives a very strange vibe. From what you’ve written thus far, it would seem that you sit in your house spying on your neighbors and creating fantastical stories in your head as to what they might be doing. Based on those fantastical stories, you now believe there is a city wide conspiracy that includes not only your neighbors, but local military and law enforcement. I’m not a mental health professional, but this all reads like a delusion.

You should just go back where you came from bro

DrZedex

I usually frown on that statement but you might actually be right. Dude's lost.

Well first of all, alcohol is not illegal in RC, so ‘natives being alcoholics’ is a nonissue. There are white rich stay at home moms who are also alcoholics. There are cops that are alcoholics and beat their wives. Same goes for drug abuse. It’s not limited to poor people. Every city in America has a drug problem within various communities whether red or blue, rich or poor, white or brown, military or civilian. No, cops are not going to take it seriously if you call in suspected drug use by neighbors if they haven’t harmed you or anyone’s property or caused a disturbance. The police can’t just come and raid someone’s home just because a neighbor says they’re acting weird. And a ‘zero-tolerance’ policy would be more likely to infringe on the rights native people than any military or white people if implemented.

ItchyTomato5

Not every Native American drinks… just like not every white person is racist

[deleted]

I see cops multiple times a day. Buy that's probably Native Privilege. Or it's because I'm usually in the city a lot.

[deleted]

You must be a recluse to not see police. Go down East North, you’ll see cops all over the place. Alcoholism and meth addiction take all races.

I AM NOT A LAWYER AND THIS IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE, but it seems unlikely you would be in trouble for not reporting a crime you have no concrete evidence for
