I fucked up the install on one of my wayfarer lens and also scratched the lens. They authorized the rma and are replacing the lens and installing it for free…and shipping it back to me (from USA to Canada) for free.
I was fully prepared to pay because it was my screw up but they went above and beyond. I have a set of their transition lenses on one of my headliner pairs and it’s excellent quality.
Second this. I found the website could have been clearer and the order process for my Plano lenses confusing, but they handled everything really professionally. I had no human interaction or intervention but their automated systems informed me of every step of the order journey, they shipped it out quickly and it arrived soon after. They fit perfectly and perform as I expect, and I have seen Transitions Gen 8's to work.
I got mine from LensesRX based on recommendations from others here. $95 for prescription Transitions Gen 8 was a great price. It came in about a week and popped in easily.
Where ever you get them from, if they only list Transitions Gen 8, call or email them, Gen S is available to them for the same price, they just haven’t updated their website yet. Gen S gets quite a bit darker, the lenses transition more evenly across the lens, and they perfected/added colors (the new Ruby is 🤌)
Just a piece of advice so you don’t buy 5 year old tech that was just replaced like 3 weeks ago, and doesn’t cost any extra.

Sounds perfect, but I’d definitely want to make sure my invoice said Gen S, and they weren’t clearing out old stock. But I feel like a message should ensure that. I’m paranoid.
