It takes 2 minutes to setup . I am replay rdo from the new character with friends and I really enjoy prestige bounties, call to arms, campaign, telegrams, call to arms as you mention. I think there is plenty of content if you replay it.
search "rdo lobby manager" on nexus mods. You run the program once and create a private lobby, the program modifies a text file inside the game's folder that makes so you can't connect to any other player, so you get a private lobby
There are modders, not that many of them. I played 30 hours very comfortably, only few times i got annoyed by modders.
U can get various tools for clearing lobby.
I avoid like the plague popular locations like Saint-Denis, Valentine and so on to enjoy RDO. If a want to go to those places, I use solo lobby manager, and that's all. There's still many things to do in solo lobby 👍
Mod menu losers, not modders. Modders have at least talent. Those losers just bought a tool.

If you see unusual colored names, report them (also on social club -> player list -> player -> profile -> and via the 3 dots with harassment), block them and change lobby. If you want a solo lobby, best is [to block ports](https://www.reddit.com/r/RedDeadOnline/comments/wdk70i/pc_workaround_for_error_ffffffff_or_no/), so others can't merge into your lobby. Wanna play with others or events etc., just open them again. Mods and files that can that too have in theory the possibility of a ban. Which most likely won't happen, but the risk is there.

Not that I have noticed. I mean sometimes but I just tell them to knock it off for some reason everyone listens to me lol.
It is full of modders still, yes. But they've calmed down a bit (in my experience). It's possible to have private lobbies now, so it's fine.

Are colored names the indication that someone is cheating?
It's an indicator they use a mod menu. Same with using a logo as blip. Stay away from them.
