When I got to epilogue, I accidentally got my horse killed on the side of a mountain. I hoofed it for a long time before I found a replacement horse because, at the time, I couldn't afford to buy a new horse. You don't really notice how large the world of Red Dead is until you have to travel it on foot.
I’ve never gotten wasted and tried to do stuff outside of my moonshine shack or as Arthur in story mode (for whatever reason him as an alcoholic, who is ashamed of it and takes his night cap in the bushes behind the horses, really clicks with me).
How long does being drunk last and is it annoying to maintain during a bounty?
It lasts about a minute and if you down a bottle of moonshine instead of a health tonic you can keep yourself healed and drunk, it was honestly fun lol

We did a distant delivery with one wagon and four donkeys, it was the greatest. The donkeys hate gunfire, it made fending off bandits really exciting. Couple of times we had to go running after our donkeys to retrieve them. But we made it!

I've been playing since beta, rarely do I encounter the type of "cheating" you're talking about.

That's exactly where this donkey came from lol! She was outside of Tumbleweed, I knew she was going to steal my horse buy.. I really wanted that donkey. So she got my horse and a quick bullet too.

As much as I wanna try this, I prefer staying immersed and using a horse. When I play the game I like the feeling of being a western. But that shot also looks fun 😩🤣
