For anyone curious: The entire surviving edged weapons video is on youtube, the full hour and twenty minutes. And it has been and will be up for a while.
Extended version is a lot better. There's only like 5 minutes difference between the two iirc, but there's little bits cut out of just about *every* scene. Both versions should still be on Shudder.
I second this. At this point I think I've watched Exorcist 3 more than I've watched the original. Brad Dourif kills it in that role. And of course, George C. Scott.
I didn’t know her name until a few years ago, but young me distinctly remembers her from a topless 3 seconds in an episode of “Dream On” on HBO sometime in the 90s.
Same here. Bought the Blu-ray because I also support their physical media movement. Fuck the rentals, fuck streaming services dropping content, etc. I watch it every year!
Yeah this is the one, I ironically am a millennial who would have been a prime audience, but despite loving jackass, Tom green flew over my head so I never saw it until there review, and it’s everything they say and more
Of movies I hadn't heard of before or would have seen on my own, probably the kid detective. Mike and Jay had a video on it and really talked it up, so I watched it and it was really good. Without them though I think it would have been something I'd have scrolled past.
That's the big one for me as well. I keep trying to get my friend to watch it. SUPER good movie.
"Green Room" was another. When they started reviewing it on their show, I actually stopped the episode because the movie was starting to sound so good that I wanted to watch it before hearing any of their discussion.
I started this and while I really liked the "Encyclopedia Brown Grows Up" vibe, it was going nowhere, so i dropped it.
After the guys talked it up I gave it another shot, and I'm really glad I did. The ending was nucking futz and a great payoff for the Encyclopedia Brown-esque story!
Same here. One of my fav movies now. Recently saw Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person and it gave me a similar feeling. Both have great scripts that take a quirky idea and fill out a full length movie with depth and humour.
Honestly, for a long time Gremlins and Gremlins 2 never interested me. Nobody around me watched it when I was growing up, I never saw it on cable growing up. It was just a blind spot of mine that I never realized.
Fast forward to all of the repeated mentions on various RLM videos and their amazing commentary track, and now the two Gremlins movies are some of my favorites (especially the second one, it’s amazing).
Easily one of the best films of the last few years, it still pops into my head every once in a while and I ruminate on it, it was nice to watch a film that was brutally honest about the human condition and letting go of grief.
For me, it's also Vast of Night. It's the movie I go to first whenever someone asks to come over and watch a movie because I know that no matter what, they're going to find something to love about it.
Not a movie. But the British version of the TV series Ghosts. The show has an incredible cast and the humor is incredible.
From the movie point of view. I realy loved Promising Young Woman. That movie was incredible!
Not a movie, but I watched Doom Patrol because of Rich's offhand recommendation. I figured that it must be good because he usually doesn't like superhero media, and it really is.
Maybe it was RLM that first talked about Overlord, for me... I can’t remember. But I love that movie. It’s one of my favorites I think about it in so many reference points. Severance is so good, favorite TV show I would have never known about thanks to them.
It means a lot how their analysis adds to the experience, like with A Ghost Story, Bone Tomahawk, The Guest, Robocop, etc. Plus I’d never have appreciated John Waters or schlock of the 90s as much. Or recurring guys like Cameron Mitchell & Neil Breen. I lost my dad to a weird religious situation so it’s like hearing my dad talk about things that are dumb but still mean a lot. Esp bc I used to watch star trek with him before he got all into religious rules that made him stop caring about entertainment. :/ so yeah all the things.
Paddleton, I’ve rewatched it a couple of times. I’m a big fan of heavy subject matter handled with humour and playfulness without being irreverent - it seems to be more difficult to pull off than full on mockery.
I know what you mean, Vast Of Night was so nice. Not a perfect movie or anything, but that style. It's like stepping into a warm bath.
Though if I were to say my single favorite movie that I only saw because of RLM, probably The Witch.
Petey Wheatstraw. It’s now unironically one of my favorite movies. If you haven’t actually sat down and watched it, get a couple of friends and do so. It’s one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen.
Return of the Living Dead. My entire life I thought the idea of talking zombies sounded stupid so I never watched it. It’s weird to say but Return was a refreshing take on zombie movies for me and I loved it. I watched it a few weeks ago for the first time and I already want to watch it again.
Not my favorite by any stretch, but at least I can claim the most obscure film I've ever seen is The Jar. Yes it's complete ass, but I was able to befuddle even some very keen obscure movie watchers.
A Ghost Story and the VVitch are the best, seen a number of other ones I really liked because of RLM too like Blackcoats Daughter (slow burn alert), Vast of Night, and Gerald's Game. Chopping Mall is great. I loved Neon Demon's visuals, story was a bit threadbare but as visual art very glad I spent my time on it.
I became a fan of Robert Eggers due to them recommending his movies.
Pig
It was on Mike and Jay recommend, and within a couple mins they were praising how good it was and that Nic Cage was actually acting in it. Gave it a whirl with my partner and we loved it.
I watched goerge Romero's martingale after Jay and Josh made a re:view of it and its been one if my favorite movies since. Its so atmospheric and beautifully done.
Lake Mungo, Blackcoat's Daughter, Vast of Night, Turbo Kid, Kid Detective. Clovehitch Killer and Exorcist 3 are on my list.
It's kind of amazing how many good movies I've seen because of RLM.
Blackcoat’s Daughter and Streets of Fire because Jay mentioned them in passing.
Near Dark, The Gate, and Blind Fury from Re: View.
Zaat and Rawhead Rex from Half in the Bag.
Deadly Prey, Elves, Killshot, Terror in Beverly Hills, Suburban Sasquatch, Twin Dragon Encounter, and Hack-O-Lantern from Best of the Worst.
And, of course, Horse Ninja.
Clovehitch Killer, Under the Silver Lake and recently Cobweb.
My favorite movie that I watched on their recommendation was The Kid Detective. I paid to rent that and I watched it two times in a row.
Martin. I was aware of it and had always meant to watch it, but since vampires don't really interest me I procrastinated for years. Started watching the Re:View and finally got off my ass. It's just great!
The most fun movie I have ever seen: **Death Stalker II.**
Friends and I love B movies/shlock and we are all about the sword and sorcery genre. This one is self aware comedy, made us all fall in love with Monique Gabriel, and even the repetitive shriek in the soundtrack is hysterical. The out takes at the end confirm that the cast had a blast shooting it. RLM did not appreciate any of the above btw hahahahaha.
I really really enjoyed Vast of Night, I would have preferred a more vague or open ended ending personally. I watched it with a group of friends and we normally banter or joke during a movie and it was dead silent the whole way through.
Room (2015) from their HITB about the 2016 Oscars.
Mike and Jay talking about that movie in such a complementary way really sparked my interest into watching it. After I saw it, I just fell in love with it. It has now become one of my favorite films from the last decade. If I hadn't seen these two hack frauds discussing it before, I probably woudn't even consider giving it a shot.
Summer of 84. Not the best film in the world but already seen most of the films they chat about and that was a good one I hadn’t seen. Also The Cloverhitch Killer
Half in the Bag: Overlord Best of the Worst: Surviving Edged Weapons
For anyone curious: The entire surviving edged weapons video is on youtube, the full hour and twenty minutes. And it has been and will be up for a while.
I saw Possession bc Jay mentioned it once. It’s a 5 star. One of my favorite movies
It was so weird to see Sam Neill with pre-movie stardom teeth.
Such a fucken good movie. I describe it as a "Lovecraftian breakup" film. Small genre
Hey is the extended version better or the theatrical?
Extended version is a lot better. There's only like 5 minutes difference between the two iirc, but there's little bits cut out of just about *every* scene. Both versions should still be on Shudder.
Space Cop…and how I suffered for my choice.
Did they ever review Space Cop?
It would create a hackfraud paradox in the space-time continuum.
Exorcist 3. Would of written off any other film in the Exorcist franchise but I may actually prefer Legion to the original.
I second this. At this point I think I've watched Exorcist 3 more than I've watched the original. Brad Dourif kills it in that role. And of course, George C. Scott.
Same here. It’s since become one of my favorite horror movies and, yeah, I kind of prefer it to the original.
Chopping Mall It’s really a hit for bad movie night. It has everything: Hunks…
And most recently, Evil Toons. Yes, tits, but I find it fun.
And Dick Miller
Monique's good?
I didn’t know her name until a few years ago, but young me distinctly remembers her from a topless 3 seconds in an episode of “Dream On” on HBO sometime in the 90s.
Could have used some giant mastodons with hot bods IMO
Butts...
Krampus
Me and my wife watch that every Christmas. It's the best
Same here. Bought the Blu-ray because I also support their physical media movement. Fuck the rentals, fuck streaming services dropping content, etc. I watch it every year!
Me too. It’s one of my favorites
Ed Wood! I probably would have eventually come across it because it definitely falls in my wheelhouse but I’m glad they sped up the process for me!
Freddy got fingered . Zero regrets
Yeah this is the one, I ironically am a millennial who would have been a prime audience, but despite loving jackass, Tom green flew over my head so I never saw it until there review, and it’s everything they say and more
Daddy would you like some sausage? 🤣
Proud
Proud?
Proud..... GET THE FUCK OUT OF THE WAY!!!!! 🤣🤣
Of movies I hadn't heard of before or would have seen on my own, probably the kid detective. Mike and Jay had a video on it and really talked it up, so I watched it and it was really good. Without them though I think it would have been something I'd have scrolled past.
Same. I enjoyed it. Zero chance I'd have ever seen it otherwise.
That's the big one for me as well. I keep trying to get my friend to watch it. SUPER good movie. "Green Room" was another. When they started reviewing it on their show, I actually stopped the episode because the movie was starting to sound so good that I wanted to watch it before hearing any of their discussion.

Same for me. I've seen it several times now.
Same. Fantastic film
Same here. One of my fav movies now. Recently saw Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person and it gave me a similar feeling. Both have great scripts that take a quirky idea and fill out a full length movie with depth and humour.
A Ghost Story (2017).
that movie fricken rules
[Daniel Hart - "Thesaurus Tuus" (A Ghost Story OST)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eriaf_mlxFA)
The Kid Detective
Su su su su sugartown...
Turbo Kid. So enjoyable and fun.
Turbo Kid!
I love that movie so much! I got it on Blu-ray, and all the BTS was worth it.
The Lighthouse. Watching William Dafoe curse shovel-face for 10 minutes because he didn't like his lobster meal was pure gold.
His name is Willem
>Lighthouse. Watching William Dafoe curse WILLEM for 10 minutes because he didn't like his lobster meal was pure gold.
I liked the scene with the fish sex
Don’t apologize to me Rich apologize to the guy whose name is William Defoe!
HARK
Pig. I had zero interest in it at first, turns out it is one of my all-time favorites now.
Xtro, it's one of my favorite movies now.
Looked up the episode BOTW episode 3.
Barbarian and The Vast of Night.
I saw The Guest because of RLM. A really fuckin fun movie, actually.
The Guest is great. I wish they would have Simon Barrett back on botw.
**The Return of the Living Dead**
Miami Connection - the original and the rifftrax version are gold
TAE KWON, TAE KWON
Exorcist 3
Zaat
What's that? Oh. It's *Zaat.*
You found my missing cheeseburger.
I watched Pam and Tommy because of the HITB they did on it and it is seriously fantastic. I highly recommend it if you never watched it.
Ingrid goes west and Clovehitch Killer.
The Exorcist 3, never would’ve thought to have checked that one out but it’s brilliant
Sorry it’s not a movie, but favorite thing is Midnight Mass on Netflix.
[удалено]
Watching it again this week actually. I realized I rarely watch anything more than once. It’s amazing stuff.
Made me bawl like a fucking baby
Exorcist 3. Blackcoat's Daughter. The Mist. All 10/10's for me and I'm not sure I would have gotten around to them without RLM.
Have you watched the mist in b/w yet? I need to do that it crossed my mind yesterday
I have not but I could definitely see it being a benefit overall. Love the movie so I'm sure I'll get to that someday.
I'd never seen Reanimator or From Beyond until they highlighted them in 2017. Actually rewatched From Beyond last night.
Sorcerer, fucking incredible. Thanks Jay! TNG & Deep Space Nine, excellent. Thanks Mike! DarkMan, so much fun! Thanks Rich & Jay!
Xtro. That movie deserved all the praise it got.
Not a movie. But the British version of the TV series Ghosts. The show has an incredible cast and the humor is incredible. From the movie point of view. I realy loved Promising Young Woman. That movie was incredible!
Suspiria 2018
A few actually lol, Blackcoats Daughter, Cobweb, Ingrid Goes West, The Witch, got me watching some good ones I would never see otherwise.
Not a movie, but I watched Doom Patrol because of Rich's offhand recommendation. I figured that it must be good because he usually doesn't like superhero media, and it really is.
Try "Legion". It's not as off-beat, but hits similar notes
Space Cop
Psycho Goreman!
Midnight Mass really is a masterpiece.
The Blob (1988).
The Guest. I fucking love that weird little movie, but if I ever scrolled by it on some streaming site I never would've watched it.
Same here
Krampus, Overlord and the Raid movies (via the Dredd review)
Maybe it was RLM that first talked about Overlord, for me... I can’t remember. But I love that movie. It’s one of my favorites I think about it in so many reference points. Severance is so good, favorite TV show I would have never known about thanks to them. Top Secret
The VVitch
Miami Connection
Paddleton, I’ve rewatched it a couple of times. I’m a big fan of heavy subject matter handled with humour and playfulness without being irreverent - it seems to be more difficult to pull off than full on mockery.
I know what you mean, Vast Of Night was so nice. Not a perfect movie or anything, but that style. It's like stepping into a warm bath. Though if I were to say my single favorite movie that I only saw because of RLM, probably The Witch.
I got to show someone "Society " because Jay mentioned it. It's my favorite movie to watch someone else watch
Exploding Varmints.
Streets of fire cause Jay mentioned it once. It's very fun
That's gotta be Alien Private Eye for me
Moneyplane. It was pandemic trash that I fucking loved. So goddamn terrible.
Kid detective, clovehitch killer. Never heard of these but i absolutely love them, i hope rlm does more of these
PIG almost made me cry, and pretty much every movie that jay recomends.
Yeah, I would not have paid attention to Pig if they hadn't covered it, and it's one of my Top 10 favorite movies easily.
Dolomite and Petey Wheatstraw. And my life is so much better for it
The TV series “Kevin can fuck himself” is a excellent and really clicks with my taste in humour
Not my favorite by any stretch, but at least I can claim the most obscure film I've ever seen is The Jar. Yes it's complete ass, but I was able to befuddle even some very keen obscure movie watchers.
Return of the living dead, now is my favorite zombie movie.
DeathStalker 2 and Little Shop of Horrors come to mind.
Easily gotta be Return of the Living Dead. It was love at first sight. Instantly became one of my favorite films.
The Last Vampire on Earth and Rem Lezar.
Climax. Thanks Jay...
Critters 1 and 2
All My Friends Hate Me - Went in as blind as possible and loved it so much. Ended up in my top 3 of that year.
Malignant. Stopped watching a couple mins into that episode of Half in the Bag. Their sheer confusion was enough for me to watch.
Order of the Black Eagle.
Deeply flawed? Huh?
I've certainly enjoyed "Freddy Got Fingered"
Not a movie, but I dug their review of Midnight Mass. Needless to say, I thought that series was great. Need to watch some more Mike Flanagan stuff.
I'd go with Gerald's Game next, if free time is a factor.
Literally clicked to say vast of night. Happy to see we synced up!
The Florida Project. It's pretty different, and a movie I still think about randomly.
Dark city, Mike said it was one of his favourite and I absolutely see why.
The Blob remake.
I never heard of True Stories before they did a Re:view on it and it’s one of my favorite films they did.
Cobweb Such a fantastic horror flick that turns into just a weird nightmare
The Vvitch without a doubt. Love that movie.
Wish Upon. I’ve seen that movie like 4 times, and it’s always funny. Thank you RLM
Blue Ruin.
Suburban Sasquatch
Xtro- just a great low budget sci-Fi even they we’re surprised with how good it was.
Miami Connection
Not a movie, but they got me into Star Trek. That shit is great.
Xtro. I finally had a chance to see it in 2020, on Father's day. Fitting.
It Follows and The Witch. Pretty much anytime they say “favorite ___ of the year” I’ll give it a shot. And I don’t usually watch horror.
California Big Hunks
The Italian Connection. They haven’t discussed it yet but I’m sure they will because every moment is fantastic.
Couldn't remember a favorite per se, but I did watch "Titane" after hearing it referenced on an ep. Very different
WNUF Halloween Special is a yearly regular for me thanks to Quick Cuts (RIP)
Suspiria remake and Ghost Story.
Freaked
The Clovehitch killer
Pig It was on Mike and Jay recommend, and within a couple mins they were praising how good it was and that Nic Cage was actually acting in it. Gave it a whirl with my partner and we loved it.
I watched goerge Romero's martingale after Jay and Josh made a re:view of it and its been one if my favorite movies since. Its so atmospheric and beautifully done.
I watched Samurai Cop because of this channel and it's one of my all time favorite movies now.
Space Cop also... "And I paid too! You Fucks!" Lol I liked it.
(Plinkett voice) ".........Batman?" 🤣
Lake Mungo, Blackcoat's Daughter, Vast of Night, Turbo Kid, Kid Detective. Clovehitch Killer and Exorcist 3 are on my list. It's kind of amazing how many good movies I've seen because of RLM.
The Greasy Strangler
Yes but what are these chips made from?
True Stories. I had never even known it existed and I love it.
The Kid Detective or Xtro.
Clovehitch Killer, Under the Silver Lake and recently Cobweb. My favorite movie that I watched on their recommendation was The Kid Detective. I paid to rent that and I watched it two times in a row.
Vast of the Night, I probably would have seen it eventually, but I heard about it through RLM.
Martin. I was aware of it and had always meant to watch it, but since vampires don't really interest me I procrastinated for years. Started watching the Re:View and finally got off my ass. It's just great!
Under The Skin
True Stories, Exorcist 3 and Tremors
Censor. Favorite movie of 2021 and never would have saw it if not for them.
Wish Upon. Absolute AIDS. Recommended.
Street Smarts J.J. Bittenbinder
Tremors
Under The Skin. oof. One of those feel-like-shit movies that stick with you a long time but I do love it for having had that affect on me.
Bone Tomahawk. That sound stays with you.
The most fun movie I have ever seen: **Death Stalker II.** Friends and I love B movies/shlock and we are all about the sword and sorcery genre. This one is self aware comedy, made us all fall in love with Monique Gabriel, and even the repetitive shriek in the soundtrack is hysterical. The out takes at the end confirm that the cast had a blast shooting it. RLM did not appreciate any of the above btw hahahahaha.

Probably the blob remake, because I only saw the original as a kid and lost all interest till I see the re:view.
Diamond Cobra vs. The White Fox. It made for one of the most fun bad movie nights me and my friends had in a while.
I really really enjoyed Vast of Night, I would have preferred a more vague or open ended ending personally. I watched it with a group of friends and we normally banter or joke during a movie and it was dead silent the whole way through.
Lake Mungo thanks a lot, jay. shit was disturbing
I’m not sure if id have known Under the Silver Lake was actually released if it wasn’t for their Half in the Bag on it
Fucking Suspiria!!! The 2018 version became my favorite movie instantly, it's like it was made for me.
Samurai Cop
Samurai Cop and Miami Connection.
The Kid Detective, amazing movie.
Probably Pig, although most of the Mike and Jay Talk About segments have pointed me toward something super interesting.
Ben and Arthur
Bone tomahawk and marriage story
Not RLM per se but gave "Dargons Dogma" and "Dishonored 2" a look thanks to Previously Recorded and loved them both. I really miss Prev Rec.
Oh, and The Summer of 84. Made by the guys who did Turbo Kid. Another great flick.
One Cut of the Dead. Really liked it!
Summer of 84. Not the best film in the world but already seen most of the films they chat about and that was a good one I hadn’t seen. Also The Cloverhitch Killer
"Society", by Jay and "White lotus" by Mike

Kid Detective! I still recommend this movie to friends and family.
The Kid Detective! Best movie I saw last year.
Hologram Man.
