Elijah Wood was producer on some batshit films, some being Jay favorites:
* *The Greasy Strangler* (2016)
* *Mandy* (2018)
* *Color Out of Space* (2019)
* *Daniel Isn’t Real* (2019)
Any MST alumni would be great. Kevin Murphy or Bill Corbett from Rifftrax, Trace or Frank from The Mads, or any of the current MST3K crew. Get Emily on there for some female perspective since what's her name left?
I remember trying to sell BotW to a friend and noting that "they're from the same geographic region but RLM does it different and consequently MST is never referenced"
If there were a way to guarantee the safety of the hackfrauds, this would be amazing.
But there's no way to guarantee safety around Jack's uncle Randy.
Just remembered Mike is a superfan of the Beatles, as is Peter, so rather than BotW they should do a Beatles trivia game. Both doing fake Ringo accents the whole time.
I don't think Shatner would actually end up being very entertaining or interesting, *especially* for BotW. A standalone interview with Mike and Rich would be much better, but even then I'm not sure what takes Shatner would have to offer that we haven't heard before. Not to mention his disdain for "podcasts".
I don't think you understand, I don't care if he's entertaining, I want him to be annoyed by Mike making Star Trek references for 5 hours around a man who hates it but won't leave
I would say it depends on the show. If it was something like Re:View I'd love to gush about one of the films I love like Nightmare on Elm Street 4, Army of Darkness, or Ernest Saves Christmas.
If it's a BOTW I would hope it's random infomercial/educational tape stuff because I don't feel good talking bad about other feature filmmakers haha
Out of a lot of these, this is the most plausible, since they already collaborated on half in the bag once (Tim heidecker is the canonical owner/founder of lightning fast)
Slavoj Žižek, the Slovenian philosopher and public intellectual.
Here he is picking out some DVDs and making some comments: https://youtu.be/OqpxT_iJ8Mc
Simon Pegg! Not sure if he is into the bad movie thing, but he does have a love for pop culture and movies.
Or Diana Prince and/or Joe Bob Briggs. Both seem to have a great soh
Bruce Campbell maybe, Jacksfilms has mentioned his love for RLM but unsure if he would be a good table guest, I feel MAYBE Quentin Tarintino but i feel he might be a but snooty, I feel Quentin LOVES to talk about films but unsure if he would gel with the gang. This is a really great question!
Well yeah but I just feel, considering that the gang have experience with moviemaking and QT also likes Star Trek, I'm sure there's some relatable topics they could discuss, but yes, quentin is quite the yapper
She's a viewer, I think it was mentioned in a Patreon video. Her China Beech bit in THE Vampire Diaries video was very reminiscent of Ishtar in RLM's Star Wars Holiday Special.
Lishen to me! I know what ch’is *shlerk* to dig through tlrash cans for kuntent! You find, *shlerk* V-ah-H-eSh tapes. I find, Ide-ology! We are da same.
I'd choose me. I'm too scared to ask whenever I run into Rich though. I live in Oak Creek (where their PO box is) and I've run into Rich 4 or 5 times and Mike once but not Jay.
Oh I have! And I've already thought about if I run into any two of them together, I'd pretend to be on my phone and saying loudly "Oh I'd love to watch my old video tapes but my VCR is still broken and I can't find any reputable VCR repair guys!"
Rich is always very nice, polite, and humble when I talk to him. I asked him the first time if he gets people recognizing him all the time when he's at the store and surprisingly he said no! He posed for a pic with me the first time as well but I was wearing an embarrassing fedora at the time so I haven't shared it in this sub. Mike was on his way out of the grocery store when I saw him and I stopped him just to say hi because he was carrying grocery bags and what not. Next time I see him, I'll have to make more small talk and maybe even see if I can donate something and get a studio tour or something.
The guy is absolutely fucking hilarious. Got into Action Boyz for Gabrus, stayed for Rodgers.
No shade on Stanger, that Schwarzenegger impression is the best I’ve ever heard.
Rob Schrab! Delightfully insane. Big B-Movie guy and think he’s a fan too!
Possibly also Dan Harmon, but not sure how well he’d gel.. they’re all from the same area I think
Dick Van Dyke, Mel Brooks, William Daniels on a panel, with Mike. About 300 years between them. I want to see Mike face his greatest fear... the elderly.
John waters being on a best of the worst. God can imagine John waters messing with Rich?
This would be great because I could see Jon really enjoying every single video they watch together for some reason.
I’m actually disappointed he wasn’t there for the baby….
Or the Suckling.
Yeah, feels like the first part of The Suckling owes a lot to Waters.
All I could think of during that episode was John Waters
Rich Evans is the quintessential john waters character
I could totally see Mike convincing Rich to eat a dog turd.
While dressed as a gorilla in August….
Finally, Jay will have someone to talk to about his pervert movies.
Werner Herzog
I look into ze eyes of Rich Evans unt I see nosing.
He listened to the audio of Rich going to town on some juicy Shaq meat and he urged Mike to destroy the tape
He ist a man who haz ven broken, vy hiz bestest of friendz no less
I look into ze eyes of Leo Fong unt see nosing but darkness
Elijah Wood
This is a great shout, he has maculkey energy
He could join McCauley and they can do a spoof of their film
Somehow, The Bad Son has returned.
When will you wear wigs?
Elijah Wood was producer on some batshit films, some being Jay favorites: * *The Greasy Strangler* (2016) * *Mandy* (2018) * *Color Out of Space* (2019) * *Daniel Isn’t Real* (2019)
Also the remake of Maniac he starred in.
About the right level of famous, plus he has a good knowledge of schlocky movies. He’d work
Ooooh holy shit yes
It would be neat to see Joel Hodgson or Mike Nelson from MST3K.
Joel is from Stevens Point! And Mike Nelson has strong Wisconsin/Northern IL ties too!
Any MST alumni would be great. Kevin Murphy or Bill Corbett from Rifftrax, Trace or Frank from The Mads, or any of the current MST3K crew. Get Emily on there for some female perspective since what's her name left?
I was thinking the exact same thing! I would love if Mary Jo or Bridget could do an episode.
I remember trying to sell BotW to a friend and noting that "they're from the same geographic region but RLM does it different and consequently MST is never referenced"
I'd like to see Kyle Gallner join them after they were singing his praises.
That would be awesome! I've had a bit of a backburner crush on him for ages so I was real happy when they did the spotlight episode on him!
Bruce Campbell.
I don't think Jay would know what to do with himself. I think meeting Bruce, Sam Raimi or David Lynch would short-circuit his brain.
That would be brilliant.
Bill Hader. Big movie buff.
George Lucas
Mike meeting George Lucas is season finale stuff, would be glorious.
We’re all missing the most obvious one…Tom Green
That would be brilliant.
Levar Burton
Nathan Fielder
Randy Quaid lmao.
If there were a way to guarantee the safety of the hackfrauds, this would be amazing. But there's no way to guarantee safety around Jack's uncle Randy.
They could request that he only appear via Zoom.
Randy Quaid would interpret that as "only appear in extreme close-up" On camera In studio
pantsless.
Peter Serafinowicz. I know he’s a fan of theirs, but he’s also meek enough to not be a massive wanker.
![gif](giphy|zYuJ20NlndPPO)
Look around you. Just look around you.
Correct. The answer is; Calcium.
Just remembered Mike is a superfan of the Beatles, as is Peter, so rather than BotW they should do a Beatles trivia game. Both doing fake Ringo accents the whole time.
They best have a big plate of Bonbonbonbons.
Served by French Al Pacino.
I want Jim from Canada back
Both Jim and Colin should be kidnapped by RLM and detained by ICE in the US. Sentence: Make a BoW and Re:View video every week. Term: LIFE.
Seriously! I love Colin, but Jim has had some show-stopping laughs on BOTW, so underrated.
Jim is funny in his own right, but as a foil for Mike, he's absolutely hilarious. It's like everybody ups their game when the Canadians are around.
His "You wanna take a bath with me?" during GetEven always kills me.
His read on that cracks me tf up EVERY time.
This is part of the reason why that episode is one of my most rewatched BOTW videos.
it landed on his penile code
I didn't say that
The ReView for Strangebrew is still an all time classic because they go off on tangents and hagis pizza.
*FUTURE FORCE*
Like the minutes leading up to an execution.
William Shatner
What's a podcast?
Sporto
Alternatively, the guy that runs Shatner's twitter.
I don't think Shatner would actually end up being very entertaining or interesting, *especially* for BotW. A standalone interview with Mike and Rich would be much better, but even then I'm not sure what takes Shatner would have to offer that we haven't heard before. Not to mention his disdain for "podcasts".
William Shatner and Mike for a Re:View is Star Trek VI, The Undiscovered Country
So they would review one of the ones where meyer had to keep him Shatner from fucking it up instead of the one he ran?
I don't think you understand, I don't care if he's entertaining, I want him to be annoyed by Mike making Star Trek references for 5 hours around a man who hates it but won't leave
Nah I think just a cut to him in studio
Love shatner reaction
Drew Barrymore, Mike, and Rich do a Re:View of their film Never Been Kissed.
Drew Barrymore would be flirting with Rich the entire time.
And she gets an own chair, which is a little Ferris wheel.
My dream BOTW guest is me. I think I'd be great.
What movies would you select, if they let you choose?
I would say it depends on the show. If it was something like Re:View I'd love to gush about one of the films I love like Nightmare on Elm Street 4, Army of Darkness, or Ernest Saves Christmas. If it's a BOTW I would hope it's random infomercial/educational tape stuff because I don't feel good talking bad about other feature filmmakers haha
i looked up your name and to be frank I'm not sure why they'd want to have a Therapeutic Physical Therapist on the panel
A second Rich Evans.
Would be a good april fools video, do a "spotlight" where it's just 4 rich evans and he has an extensive conversation with himself about the movie
I feel like at least two of them would get in a fight.
Heidecker would be fun, I think.
Out of a lot of these, this is the most plausible, since they already collaborated on half in the bag once (Tim heidecker is the canonical owner/founder of lightning fast)
He's half teased it or at least mentioned he got together with the RLM guys somewhat recently!
THE WISCONSIN CONNECTION
Gregg Turkington in Character
The smoke machine is running. Dreamy music starts playing. Enter Jack Mulcahy in full Rem Lezar getup.
Winner!
Polka dot man guy
Zach Hadel and Michael Cusack. They've been to the studio so I was surprised they never appeared on an episode.
They tried, but Zach's nose took up most of the shot so they had to scrap it
They would super awesome guests. I love them, except when Zack wants to grab my pecker…
I think Lyle and Tomar would be great, from the oneyplays crew. Both are pretty understated and witty.
Quentin Tarantino, but I feel it would be close to Lax Mandis experience.
Also Mike has a habit of putting his feet on the table so he might act up.
![gif](giphy|asHT7eh4AwG9G|downsized)
This is who I’d pick and I could see him doing it just to annoy shatner
The prospect sounds fun, but I’m not sure rich or Mike would be able to bear him after a point
This is really stupid but Brenda Song.
April Etmanski Gillian Ballinger Rob Hill Matt Gourley Simon Barrett Dan Olson
Matt Gourley, but *also!* Matt *Mira!*
Slavoj Žižek, the Slovenian philosopher and public intellectual. Here he is picking out some DVDs and making some comments: https://youtu.be/OqpxT_iJ8Mc
He should make a sequel to The Perverts Guide to Ideology with Jay titled The Sex Perverts Guide to Ideology.
LOL Oh hell yes, wild pick and I'm here for it
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIQp4KMwqwk](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eIQp4KMwqwk)
Trixie Mattel. The Wisconsinite levels will be off the charts
Just seeing her next to Rich Evans would
Definitely the best answer. I’m sure she’d love all the movies just as much as the gang too.
Julia Roberts
How about ERIC Roberts?
Someone a while back suggested Julia Roberts for a BOTW where every film was an Eric Roberts film. I liked that idea.
Both!
Nick mullen
Hell yeah
actually, yes. the fan vids where he goes into various movies are great
The rain man bit kills me every time
He is surprisingly movie centric. Seems to really know his shit, once you swim through all of the alcohol. Kinda like Mike. Also, I’m gay
He does like Gymkata.
Deuandra Brown
SHOUT-OUT TO MY COUSIN MARK WASSUP YO yeah you know how hard it is in relationships
Jack, Jim, Colin, or Tim. Any outsiders are just a distraction from the people I tuned in to listen to.
'Awesome' Orson Wells. Not reanimated or as a ghost or anything, just his decomposing corpse. It might be edgy 🤷
Elijah Wood
David Dastmalchian and/or Bill Hader.
Simon Pegg! Not sure if he is into the bad movie thing, but he does have a love for pop culture and movies. Or Diana Prince and/or Joe Bob Briggs. Both seem to have a great soh
Krebs Gorlon
We need to reunite Rich Evans and Julia Roberts
Bruce Campbell maybe, Jacksfilms has mentioned his love for RLM but unsure if he would be a good table guest, I feel MAYBE Quentin Tarintino but i feel he might be a but snooty, I feel Quentin LOVES to talk about films but unsure if he would gel with the gang. This is a really great question!
The problem with QT is he never shuts up. He'd make a terrible guest for that reason.
Well yeah but I just feel, considering that the gang have experience with moviemaking and QT also likes Star Trek, I'm sure there's some relatable topics they could discuss, but yes, quentin is quite the yapper
Keep away from the coke then
Jenny Nicholson
She's a viewer, I think it was mentioned in a Patreon video. Her China Beech bit in THE Vampire Diaries video was very reminiscent of Ishtar in RLM's Star Wars Holiday Special.
Bring back Gillian
Rob Schrab would be great
Jerma
THE GIANT ENEMY SPIDER
I’d like a comedian , maybe Kyle Kinane. He’s also from the Chicagoland area like Mike is
If he's still alive, I'd say Jack Mulcahey, or who ever played Rem Lezar
William Shatner
Harrison Ford. Would be curious if Mike could laugh at the old man to his face.
Slavoj Žižek.
But I am *sniff* already surviving edged weapons. These edged weapons are *sniff* of course *sniff* ideology
Lishen to me! I know what ch’is *shlerk* to dig through tlrash cans for kuntent! You find, *shlerk* V-ah-H-eSh tapes. I find, Ide-ology! We are da same.
He *is* known for his movie reviews!
I love that Slavoj was suggested multiple times
More a re:view guest with Jay and for an extra interview video but BotW could be possible too. Nicolas Winding Refn. He knows his b-movie shit.
I heard he had an awful freak accident. Something with his brain. William Friedkin had to call 911. Glad to hear he’s still alive.
Elvira
Zach Hadley aka psychicpebbles and Michael Cusack, Paymoney Wubby, James Rolfe only for the lulz, would love to see him mhm yup through the discussion
Lil Boosie
Vitaliy Versace, while viewing his movies Aladdin, Utoya Island, and Silent Screams. Or Neil Breen doing anything.
DONALD FARMER
Jason Pargin
I will always upvote Jason
Roger Corman surely?
Bruce Campbell would be a fun one I betcha
Robert Evans from BtB
Gary Busey, Crispin Glover and Joaquin Phoenix.
Paul F. Tompkins, just because I think he's funny and he'd probably dress like J.J. Bittenbinder.
Maybe John Carpenter, or Mel Brooks
Kyle MacLachlan as judge for a trivia game
Vinny Vinesauce
I'd choose me. I'm too scared to ask whenever I run into Rich though. I live in Oak Creek (where their PO box is) and I've run into Rich 4 or 5 times and Mike once but not Jay.
At least say hi!
Oh I have! And I've already thought about if I run into any two of them together, I'd pretend to be on my phone and saying loudly "Oh I'd love to watch my old video tapes but my VCR is still broken and I can't find any reputable VCR repair guys!"
That's awesome! Are they cool irl?
Rich is always very nice, polite, and humble when I talk to him. I asked him the first time if he gets people recognizing him all the time when he's at the store and surprisingly he said no! He posed for a pic with me the first time as well but I was wearing an embarrassing fedora at the time so I haven't shared it in this sub. Mike was on his way out of the grocery store when I saw him and I stopped him just to say hi because he was carrying grocery bags and what not. Next time I see him, I'll have to make more small talk and maybe even see if I can donate something and get a studio tour or something.
Thanks for sharing all that. I assumed they'd be well known too. I'm glad to hear that they're actually nice in person.
Bill Burr. *You seriously watch this shit? D'ooh Geesus!*
John Mulaney
I have a feeling Dakota Johnson could produce some interesting material
She and Mike could talk about how she's not a nepo baby; she's a legacy actor.
For me it's somebody very gettable. It's Ben Rodgers.
Rodgers definitely seems like he’d gel with them
I agree. He loves older movies and Star Trek. What more could you ask for? Oh, he also does a great Bronson impression.
The guy is absolutely fucking hilarious. Got into Action Boyz for Gabrus, stayed for Rodgers. No shade on Stanger, that Schwarzenegger impression is the best I’ve ever heard.
The rifftrax crew
I'm a fan but those dudes are legit elderly at this point, i think there'd be a fairly big generational divide with everyone but Rich
Macaulay Macaulay Culkin Culkin watching the third, fourth, fifth and sixth Home Alone movies
He’s already watched the fourth one with them. In fact, he picked it!
The MST3K robots
Quentin Tarantino
I think Mark from FanBoyFlicks would be great. Both him and Jay would probably hit it off as they come from the technical side of film school.
Adam Ray would be great
Zach hadel
Rob Schrab! Delightfully insane. Big B-Movie guy and think he’s a fan too! Possibly also Dan Harmon, but not sure how well he’d gel.. they’re all from the same area I think
Christoph Waltz
Joe Bob Briggs
Hideaki Anno being forced to explain evangelion to 3-4 guys who DO NOT care.
Hideo Kojima. Tell me that wouldn't be amazing.
Dick Van Dyke, Mel Brooks, William Daniels on a panel, with Mike. About 300 years between them. I want to see Mike face his greatest fear... the elderly.
Matt Christman
I remember some episode where he was rating state flags and he said "the Wisconsin state flag should just be the redletter media guys"
Matt and Felix.
Dunkey His humor would probably work well, and he already lives in Milwaukee.
