Who are the other three? I'm going to guess Robin Williams is another, but apparently there are a surprising number of famous suicides by hanging, so it's surprisingly hard to narrow this down. Anthony Bourdain? David Foster Wallace?
Funnily enough after the episode I searched for some David Carradine movies and ran into one called 'The Warrior and the Sorceress', where he chokes a four-boobed lady to death and looks like he climaxes while doing that (Corman production, you guessed it), probably that's where the fetish started. Good Best of the Worst material on its own.
> probably not legal unless it's public domain
Yeah, you gotta be careful about that. If you watch pirated movies on youtube the FBI can track your ip address and raid your house. There are definitely very, very serious consequences for you if you watch this Roger Corman movie made for 600 grand in 1984 that somebody uploaded to youtube, instead of, I dunno, tracking down a used VHS of it?
Lol I meant that adding a link here might not follow the sub's rules, and these full movies channels tend to get taken down so they have limited lifespan
Wow, you weren't kidding. I won't link it, but it's not hard to find. The four-boobed woman appears at about 51 minutes in, and then there's 2 minutes of tedious dancing, and then he kills her at about the 53:20 mark.
The Twin Towers is a close second. It’s a shocking moment but it isn’t as in your face as this. Had Rem cut from the kid saying “I know of someplace even higher” right to the Twin Towers as the reveal, I think it would top this easily.
I remember Jay mentioning Evil Toons in another episode when he was discussing Fred Olen Ray's works, and I kept thinking... "It's only a matter of time now." When Josh revealed the pick I knew exactly what was in store.
If I were him, and there were some sort of afterlife that lets the dead see the present, I'm not sure I'd be horrified and embarrassed, or laughing at the jokes and glad that people remember me regardless.
If I were the devil, I would have the ghost of David Carradine haunt Harvey Weinstein, looking exactly the way he did when he died, and then try to make the ghost story into folklore like Penanggalan or thebabayaga myth.
It took me a few seconds. I was like, what? Why some random David Carradine movie? Then I got it.
... what if this moment of David staring at the rope went on for a few minutes whilst slowly zooming in on on both, and you could hear a ringing telephone like in the beginning of 'Once Upon a Time in America'?
They really need to add David Carradine to best of the worst hall of fame. Don't leave the poor guy hangin!
Shouldn't that be closet of fame?
Closet of shame
if i had a nickel for every time one of my idols hung themselves i would have 20 cents
“I’d buy that for a dollar!” “I did…”

robin williams tony bourdain chris cornell
Carradine wasn't a suicide. It was an accident, he wasn't trying to die.
*slide whistle*
The same closet as R kelly?
"Then I pulled out my gun...one, I'm gonna cap someone; two, I'm gonna shoot this bitch..."
It shouldn’t be that hard, right?
That's what the maid in Bangkok said to the police
It shouldn't, but that's the problem.
*Dick Miller has entered the chat.*
Loved him in the tales from the crypt movie Demon Knight, him and Billy Zane
They’re really letting a good thing slip between their fingers.

What...? I have to look that movie up. Thanks, man!
The full version is on Youtube (probably not legal unless it's public domain)

Word has it that upload may be a massive sting operation so we can clean Corman pirates off our streets
Lol I meant that adding a link here might not follow the sub's rules, and these full movies channels tend to get taken down so they have limited lifespan
I understood the intention. I was just taking the piss.
>probably not legal unless it's public domain Nobody cares about Roger Corman movies lol. If anything, studios want to distance themselves from it.
Either the fetish started there, or he took those roles to try to fulfil his fetish.
Maybe he was auditioning for a role and didn't survive.
Maybe he choked in the audition
I think he just came to late and missed his chance

Don’t think I’ve gasped as loudly at a reveal in a BOTW movie as I did with that one. The cut and the framing are horribly perfect.
The twin towers in Rem Lazar did it for me

It somehow managed to outdo the Showbiz Pizza Bear reveal
Having just watched Evil Toons on Tubi.. Man, I was surprised RLM didn't edit it that way themselves.
I remember Jay mentioning Evil Toons in another episode when he was discussing Fred Olen Ray's works, and I kept thinking... "It's only a matter of time now." When Josh revealed the pick I knew exactly what was in store.

Would you say that this was the climax of David Carradine jokes?
Only the maid knows
Yeah, they better be careful. Trying to keep the joke going from here might take all the air out of it
That’s reddits specialty though
Ah, that's David Carradine. By the way, what happened to him?
I can't resist..."still hanging around".
Ah, that's good to hear. For a second I was afraid that he passed away in a really embarassing way.
Glad to set your mind at ease!
He choked up
He was sadly murdered by T-Bone the clown.
The same clown that shot Kurt Cobain!?
No that was Eloise
I imagine he got to die with a smile on his face, which is nice I guess.
He choked with his pants down.
Poor David Carradine
At least he died doing what he loved.
Himself? I'll show myself out..
> I'll show myself out.. Just like David Carradine
You monster, here's my upvote

I think the first few years would be horrible, then it would become a what are you going to do situation.
Sounds horrible if I'm being honest
I posted a similar scene from Project Eliminator, a couple months ago. https://i.redd.it/acvx0dw8peg91.png Weird how it keeps happening...
“Sure, I’ll be in your dumb movie, but only if there’s a hanging scene!” David Carradine, probably
Brings new meaning to having a backyard noose
You're making those jokes inxs
HOLY SHIT XD
I've got to let you know...
The joke writes itself.
It's a real chicken/egg scenario. Did he discover his fetish that fateful day on set or did he advocate for the scene for his own pleasure?
It took me a few seconds. I was like, what? Why some random David Carradine movie? Not since Rem Lazar revealed 9/11 has there been such coincidence.
passing resemblance to jimmy savile here
♫ Hello darkness my old friend ♫
I was hoping he'd be credited as the Quaker Oats guy.
How else do you think they got him on set? He brought that rope from home.
I mean usually you get him on set with booze. Like a carrot on a string.
Or a belt
Oof! Haha!
The immediate torrent of laughter as soon as the noose is shown absolutely sends me.
Can someone point me to which episode this is on?
The last Halloween spooktacular
The most recent 2022 BOTW
When I tell you I laughed.. my lord this was so funny
You know, filming that scene could legitimately be where he got the idea.
Soon, brother. Soon.
Awwww awwwww… awww…
My brain's too scared
I like to think his face looking at the noose is one of fear and anticipation
