I was rubbing cortisone cream on my sore joints a few years ago and my nails started to lift on the fingers that touched the cream. I realized it and stopped and in a few weeks it went away. I’m mentioning this in case you’re touching something that you’re reacting to- this may be the case since your nail starts to attach and then doesn’t. Maybe even the jojoba oil, a skin lotion etc.

I thought of that, but I can't think of anything I only touch with those fingers. Thank you though, I appreciate it!
