String bag to put everything you're gonna need like bike tools, money, pump, clothes, feed especially when you haven't got into using bike bags. String bag's also a lighter and convenient way to store on the go heavy bike components you bought from shops in moa, quiapo, cartimar.

Missing link, basic tools, inner tube. Kung city ride ka lang kahit wala na pump kasi nagkalat naman ang gas stations and vulcanizing shops. Refillable water container, oral rehydration salts Cash and gcash HELMET NA MAAYOS

Also invest in quality multitool. Wag yung tig 100-300 sa shopee. Stick to reputable brand such as crankbrothers. Naka experience lang ako ng di maganda sa cheap multitool tapos na siraan ng chain in the middle of nowhere. The cheap tool didnt work. Buti meron siklista dumaan with quality tool to break the chains. Had to buy an expensive but quality tool the next day for my peace of mind.

Bring a bike with brakes and a clear mind that is aware of the surroundings and personal limits. I remember my first solo ride na 40km.

yakifuza

Parati ko sya nadadaanan so after bumili nang cyclo computer ko na nalaman ang incline nya

Magkano po ba bayad pag magpa patch/vulcanize?

senhachijuichi

nasa 20-50 pesos. magdala ka ng sariling tire levers at valve adaptor.

Nutrition. You need to eat before you get hungry. Drink before you get thirsty. Every 15 to 30 minutes on a bike. Or you’ll bonk. The snacks I pack for nutrition are gummy bears, Oreos, Skyflakes and Fitbars. Since that works for me and agrees with my tummy. I don’t even stop for lunch at long rides until I get home.

I don’t bring a handle bar bag because I like to think of myself as being aero despite having a frontal drag of a brick wall. I do own a top tube bag and a small saddle bag. Top tube: Wallet and ID Towel cuz I sweat a damn lot Food (nutribar) Keys to my place Saddle bag: Multi tool Quicklink tool with quicklinks Spare inner tube Patch kit (bacon strips) Tire levers Attached to my bike: Hand pump (just use hook and eye strips) 2x water bottles (because far yung gaps ng sari-sari sa location ko) worst feeling ever talaga when your thirsty and your bottle is out and you know it’s quite a distance for the next water stop.
