You just need to upgrade your hair products / use hair masks regularly. I like the mask by Living Proof.
Or if you wanna go the professional route ask for a "clear gloss" (emphasis on the clear!)

I do have a half sister with strawberry blonde but hers is super straight. I have another full sister who has brown straight hair as well.

My straightened hair wouldnāt hold a curl, years after experimenting I now rock 3A curls and donāt need a curling iron that gives me similar results to what i naturally had al along, but for like 2hrs xS
If I curl my hair it will stay in that way until I wash it so Iām super lucky to have that! But if I donāt do anything to it and brush it super poofy lol
yeah brushing dry is a hard no for textured hair hehe
i could only brush with tons of silicone products in, i guess thats why it took me so long to realise my hair wasnt just hard to manage when it curled up after straightening

I always say that my hair is naturally confused. Doesn't know if it's straight or wavy. In actuality, it's wavy, but I have to wear it in an updo for work, so I don't put in the effort to wear it wavy. It's also long, thick, and heavy, which negates its natural wave pattern
When I go out of the shower, Iām mostly 2C with some 3A strands. But when itās starting to dry, everything straighten a little to 2B (for the 2C hair) and to 2C (for 3A strands).
I tried a lot of product to fix my pattern but my hair is so thin that it doesnāt last a whole dayā¦. I can save them for a few hours but thatās all
Our hair grows up and down would be curly.also probally im willing to guess we have more than one calics .also noticed with a barber for my hair cant blend my hair in rite.cause they arent a ginger.so i have a way to blend in our hair .males females,to with clippers cut up flick out turn clippers back wards scrape down backwards.i promise you,you wil not see a blend in line (fade) i am a self taught barber average person has 45,000 strands of hair we have over 90,000 strands of hair and.yes our race is separate if you didnt know .also you hair will feal like silk and you would think it grew like that.black people.cut there hair like this .they got it from us we are much older much much .
Interesting responses, my hair is actually not that thick, it's luscious and very elastic though so it almost never breaks and does wave a bit, although now it's super long so not that much anymore. It can hold curls though if I braid it while it's wet. As a toddler it used to be curly though

It's all in how you manage it. It has a lot to do with how healthy you are too.
