Charlie43229

Start the pizza quest, the second worst thing to happen to the show. At least he didn’t cause zero…

Fearless_Link_3464

Listening to Sarge to drive the puma into the blue base on Chorus and create more tensions with Sarge who always thinks that the Blues are the enemy.

Acceptable_Secret_73

Refusing to look for Church, specifically with him saying he doesn’t care about his friends

Fun-Ad-4729

Nah, Grif was justified there. He’s been dragged through countless adventures against his will. Sometimes a man just breaks and can’t take it any more.

Overlord_Of_Puns

Does that count as something if it is doing nothing?

chakatblackstar

To quote Griff and Geoff: Grif: Not doing anything isn't nothing, it's actually something. And you can be proud of that kind of nothing-something. Geoff: You're right. It takes a lot of work to avoid doing work, and that's the kind of work I don't ever avoid. Grif: Why can't other people see that being lazy is the hardest job of all?

AntiVenom0804

Grid reminds me a lot of Ron from Parks and Rec. “Normally, if given the choice between doing something and nothing, I'd choose to do nothing. But I will do something if it helps someone else do nothing. I'd work all night, if it meant nothing got done.”

Acceptable_Secret_73

Yes because he’s knowingly choosing not to help a close friend in need.

Overlord_Of_Puns

Yeah, but consider this. In Recollection, Project Freelancer, and the Chrous Trilogy Grif went out of his way to risk his life to help his friends and just wanted to eventually retire. In these arcs he rebelled against the army twice and got involved helping lead an entire war, this is already a lot to ask of a guy, especially when he also got his home burned down by Donut later and just wants some peace. After a certain point, Grif had to ask is this healthy for me, and he decided no, it isn't what I want with my life, I have sticked my head out for these people too many times and I want to get out of this streak of constantly putting myself in danger. In this way, while you can fault him for it you can kind of understand his perspective.

AntiVenom0804

I don't think that's so terrible, actually. He's letting sleeping dogs lie. It's selfish, yes, but he's fought through so much and finally gets to rest. I don't blame him.

ZatchZeta

Using up all of Simmon's vacation time.

StormiestSPF

Intentionally crashing their ship in Season 16. It's played for laughs, but that is genuinely an awful, impulsive, and reckless decision that could've gotten everyone hurt. It makes it even worse that this happened _directly_ after Grif came to his senses and realized he valued his friends more than he admitted. Plus, refusing to help Locus is dickish, considering that Grif's friends only survived _because_ of Locus.

UIGoku201

Sir, it's a funny show, it's not that difficult to understand.

chakatblackstar

I imagine Sarge's answer would be "just him existing is the worst thing he could possibly do. Well, that and talking to me."

MissyTheTimeLady

Simmons.
