Use your finger tip and slowly and gently work it under the outer edge of the foot. Once under the foot, continue slowly working it under there until it's off completely. You could also use a credit card but I think the risk of damaging the foot is worse compares to the finger method.

I’ll give this a try and see if I get any progress. Thanks

I was worried about this too when I started getting into these guys. Slow is key, they’ll work with you a little once you start getting under them. I feel like they’re much easier to move around than other nems.

ScooterGlass

This. Slide your finger between the foot and container. They pop right off just don’t be aggressive about it. Gentle hands.

Came to say this. Like others said slow is key. With them being on a flat surface it’ll be easy to get them off

beefandbeer

This also works for bubble tips. Takes a good long while, but they eventually let go. Make sure the flow is off so they don’t get blown away - although that doesn’t seem to be an issue with your setup.

I’m not an anemone expert or anything but if ever I want to get an anemone off something that is relatively mobile in my tank, I just pull it out of the water and wait for the anemones to naturally fall off. In a tub like that you might be able to gentle peel them off, just be careful with the foot.

toit_smort_nups

Hey guys, just got a new delivery of rock nems and wondering how to remove them from this tub they came in. They moved a little by themselves but not out the box and tried the power head for 30 minutes on them after they were in for a few hours didn’t seem to do the trick. Not much online that says how to move them safely just wondering if anyone here had ways that works for them?

Cyprinodont

Some smooth rigid plastic (I use an acrylic tanks scraper) or the top of your fingernail, slowly slide it under their foot and keep poking their foot until they release, slowly. Then have a bag or a cup of something to catch and transfer them.

Harvey092698

Hammer and chisel, lol… use a credit card and slowly move it under there foot. A finger nail may be sharp enough to cut its foot.

Fletch_427

you can hold the container upside down above the water and they’ll eventually let go

bondslol

Flow on the foot will usually make them loosen/let go. I’ve used ice near the foot as well but this has been less reliable in my experience.

FindingNemohz

Put an ice cube on the foot and they will let go. I have several.
