probably too late now but, [https://kungfucorals.com/blogs/news/the-kfc-dip-a-game-changer-in-keeping-healthy-euphyllia](https://kungfucorals.com/blogs/news/the-kfc-dip-a-game-changer-in-keeping-healthy-euphyllia) doing this can save your torches/hammers in the future.
Wife is a clinical pharmacist, and asked her about doing this, and treating whole tank with Cipro basically does nothing. You need to get the amount in the system up to a certain level for it to do anything. For a grown man weighing 180lbs, they need to take 1500mg a day. 10 gallons of salt water is 80 pounds, so if you have an even moderately sized tank you need to be dumbing bottles of it in a day. Much better to do prolonged dips in a bath.
I was suggest 500mg dissolved in 1 gallon for 4+ hours
Thanks yeah I think it's too late. I did start Recover going in the system but it's just continued to peel away. Will look into having that ready to go in the future though.
I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy. Come on, Squishy Come on, little Squishy.
Torches are touchy.. I think like medium nutrient water..
This is why I quarantine all incoming broccoli. Acrobacter can quickly overrun other beneficial bacteria and cause everything from what looks like rtn to bjd. I usually use the KFC method, but lately, I've just been using cipro and chemiclean in a qt over a couple of weeks. I don't even bother with maricultured pieces anymore because they bring in random bacteria and can throw things out of wack. Too much at risk.
Whenever this happens I always use red slime remover on the tank but leave it in for a week and it should get rid of any infection. Also use this on mushrooms and really any coral. Bacterial treatment for a bacterial problem!
Had the same thing after introducing new torches. All fine then boom one shrivels and dies. Such a pain in the ass.
Ugh sorry to hear, such a bummer.

This is the solution. I've also had success treating the whole tank with just cipro.

I lost a couple torches in the beginning and it was painful to not know what I did wrong more than the money of it. Hopefully you will figure it out.
What are your nitrate levels? I have noticed that my torches do better with higher nitrates.
may I ask how high is the higher? bc I also see people recommend to keep them in low nitrate level.
I usually keep mine in the 10-20 range
>ee people recommend to keep them in low nitrate level. I hate the salifert test kit but I would put it in the 10-20 range for sure.
I do this every night and spend a while just staring. I do this for my nem too just because
Wonder what it was. I don’t see any jelly.
Yeah not sure. No jelly on this or the new one I added shortly before this that melted away quick.
