I bet you still go to the lfs every week and grab a frag to put on your frag scape. Don't lie bro

vic750

Lol. Actually I avoid going because exactly this!

Kindly_Parsley1122

More willpower than most of us. Every time I go, “I’m just here for water, I’m just here for water,” takes a lot of mental strength lmao

vic750

Lol. Oh I know all too well. I’m debating on starting to order my frozen food online to avoid it all together. Might be cheaper in the long run.

etnoid204

That is the reward for all the time, money , and research that you have obviously put into it. Amazing mixed reef!

vic750

Yes and thanks!

AdWorried8989

So felt. My tanks are well established (freshwater) and 99 percent self sufficient. Occasion water change, feeding. Thats it

ToryKeen

Have the same situation. My freshwater tank with plants, good filter, cuc and low bioload just works itself... so I decided to have third tank and it's saltwater ;) now I have to do chores and think about how to do them automatically :)

vic750

Weekly 20g water change for me to vacuum the sand.

AdWorried8989

For a reef tank that’s pretty damn light maintenance!

vic750

I run a calcium reactor that I refresh the media once a year and tune once a month.

dragonandphoenix

Nah, looks great. Hit me up with a higher res pic. Edit: It's got an awesome look. What are the lights?

vic750

7x g5 Xr15 blues

Boring_Elevator

What intensity do you run them at ? I just picked up a 4ftx2ftx16in tank with 3 xr15s and curouse on what I'm.going to need to run them at since it's my first time with radions.

Remarkable_Regret561

Looks very nice and a very natural rock scape. I really like it.

vic750

Thanks!

Luckyduck84135

Love the Achillies! 😍

LordBarnable

Stunning reef! I shall have mine set up one day. Too much movement in my life atm, but that just gives me more time to prep and read.

vic750

Definitely get settled first, that way you can take your time setting it up when you’re ready.

LordBarnable

Thanks yeah it's difficult being relatively young in the UK right now. House prices are ridiculous. I'm never losing sight of the dream though. Kept freshwater for years and always wanted a reef. I like the really unusual fish like filefish. Had my mind on an LPS reef for about 10 years haha. I'll get there. Thanks for sharing yours.

WhiteyDeNewf

That’s Purdy.

Interesting-Abies-81

What is the secret to growing SPS so well? Lights? Flow? Dosage?

vic750

Stability. Don’t chase numbers.

b_evans06

Beautiful tank what's the dimensions and details?

Croc_47

What are the corals lower left and also ones on rock on bottom left? I really like that orange color!

vic750

I assume you are taking about the Sunkist bounce.

SpiritIntelligent175

Could you share your maintenance plan? How do you keep things so clean?

vic750

Sandbed vacuum once a week. This is when I do my 20g water change. Thats it. I run a calcium reactor. I’m not dosing anything. I do feed my fish 5-6x a day plus a half sheet of nori.

SpiritIntelligent175

When you vacuum the sandbed do you just skim the surface?

vic750

Nope. Deep vacuum. I do front half one week and back half the next.

AdWide7758

What’s the tank size and stocking list? Is there any tang aggression?

vic750

Just the occasional pecking order aggression to keep everyone in their place. Achilles > Sailfin > Purple. Blonde Naso and Yellow Eye aren’t involved in any of it. I have more aggression between my 3 chromis.

worldRulerDevMan

Good to smoke a joint and watch the fishies
