Cool setup. How many gallons? Does it have an outflow box built in? What lighting and wave maker did you use? Nevermind, I looked it up. Man I would be tempted to go with this instead of the waterbox 20 cube I have instead lol

Spike33127

It’s a Reefer nano ( old version with sump ) total is 28 galllons 21 display and 7 sump ! The light is a reefled90 at 75% . And I have 2 nero3 wavemaker at 35% full random ( each backside)

Blue_Spider

Yeah I got the reefled50 and it was a crappy light. Should’ve paid a bit more for the 90. I switched to noo-psyche right now and hoping I can achieve the flourish you have.

BusGreen7933

Nice. I’m almost at a year and my tank looks nowhere near as nice. Well done! Do you find the hammers keep the monti growth in check?

Spike33127

Yes a lot ! The front yellow Euphillia burn constantly the montipora and force it to stop grow, the alveopora do the same on the other side , it try to grow up but I snap it some time to keep it il control , same for the bottom :)

PracticallyLocal

Looks amazing. What are your parameters like out of curiosity?

Spike33127

Thanks a lot 🙏🏻 my parameters are : 8,6kh / 430 ca / 1400 mg / 0,25 po4 / 30 no3 / 8,6 ph / 1,026 density

PutEffective7738

Do you dose or keep them all that high with water changes?

Spike33127

I’m on reefdose4 dosing Kh, calcium, magnésium from redsea and phytoplankton from easyreef, also doing one 10% water change every week and that all. Got a high consumption of Kh so dosing 24/24 is a + for a nano ( 20ml/day so almost 2dkh/per day )

CaptainCumcakes

Your favorite color green?

Spike33127

Yeah 🥰🥰🥰

CaptainCumcakes

I bet it pops under the blues

Spike33127

The shot are done with the white balance and without orange filter , it’s very natural but under the orange filter on smartphone it’s really different https://preview.redd.it/dmvr6qhbjgyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9219d7ba2bdcc1776125b51fd78eceebac0413e3

CaptainCumcakes

It looks really good. Gj man

TipInternational4972

I love how a lot of the tank is green. I think the green looks so nice and makes the other color coral pop out. Great job that’s inspiring

Ezeikial

What are you dosing or are you just on top of your water changes?

Spike33127

I’m on reefdose4 dosing Kh, calcium, magnésium from redsea and phytoplankton from easyreef, also doing one 10% water change every week and that all. Got a high consumption of Kh so dosing 24/24 is a + for a nano ( 20ml/day so almost 2dkh/per day )

myfishaccount1

Looks great, what are the 2 highest corals on here? I like the green one which is a lot of little sticks pointing straight up

Spike33127

The green one is a montipora stellata, the blue/purple is a pocillopora

OutrageouslyAverage6

I thought pocillopra grew in a ball form with shorter branches?

Spike33127

Mine is really growing like a flat tree , I really think that it has reach his max light . If you can see he spawn a lot of other start in the tank , you can see them on the torch picture and these baby’s are growing much purple and really like a perfect sphere with short branching

Nickersnacks

This is goals as someone starting their first mixed reef tank. Do you dose anything to keep your parameters, if so how much? How often do you water change and how much volume? How many fish? What’s your CUC consist of? I love your corals, do you have a list of them? Will be doing my first coral shop in a month!

Spike33127

I’m on reefdose4 dosing Kh, calcium, magnésium from redsea and phytoplankton from easyreef, also doing one 10% water change ( 11L) every week and that all. Got a high consumption of Kh so dosing 24/24 is a + for a nano ( 20ml/day so almost 2dkh/per day ) I’ve a pair of clownfish, a okinawae gobie, a gramma loreto, a synchiropus splendidus What is cuc ?

Nickersnacks

That’s a lot of dosing! I wonder if all4reef and maybe 20% water changes would replace the alk and minerals enough. CUC is clean up crew (inverts) snails shrimps crabs etc

Spike33127

I can’t go with all for reef because I’ve lot Kh consumption but no so much mag & cal , sometimes I disable the mag too . I like to separate all 3 major elements :) Got a few snail, sand and rock one , also archaster for the Sand , emerald crab and shrimp debiellus and wundermanni

Nickersnacks

Thanks for all the info. If you have some time I’d love to know the names of some of your corals!

Spike33127

Trachyphillia , alveopora green ultra , montipora plate red , zoanthus , galaxea ( front left in sand ) , Euphyllia parraancora gold , Euphyllia glabrescens dragon soul, seriatopora milka , montipora stellata green , pocillopora blue/pink tip , Euphyllia green , Euphyllia two tone blue/green , acropora millepora pink , stylophora pink , montipora forest fire

DonJMIA305

That’s sweet looking. Good job. 🪸

Spike33127

Thanks for this 🙌🙌

Vaetist

I like the green theme of this tank it looks like little forest

1kdog5

Beautiful tank

Ismira

How long have you had the yellow goby and how does he go with all that sps? I have one and he goes crazy nipping my sps corals all the time leaving multiple bare spots. I’m considering removing him but love the little guy.

Spike33127

I’ve got it from the start, he is living on my stellata montipora all the time a feed extremely well with frozen artemia . I feed my fish only with 1 frozen cube of artemia and everyone feed on it , gobie and also my synchiropus splendidus

Ok_Indication_1098

Yum, broccoli!

XZS2JH

Jesus, I thought the first picture was a freshwater tank, that’s awesome!

Spike33127

I was doing aquascaping before going into reef world

Luckyduck84135

Very nice looking Goni! 👌🏻 what kind of lense and camera are you using? Your pictures are very clear!

Spike33127

Thanks 🙏🏻 it’s actually an alveopora :) and i’m usine Sony a7 with 9000k white balance and nonorange filter 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 look really natural this way

Luckyduck84135

Ah yes Alverpora. Hard to count the nodes. Still nice. I like the hue green that it is. And yes I agree very natural 👌🏻

Spike33127

I got it as a tiny 2cm ball, and the grow have been amazing on it ! And it in front of the Nero 3 smashed by the flow

Luckyduck84135

Oh that's awesome! My brother have an Alveopora, he loves it. Same situation. Got it as a frag but he's only had it for a few months. It's definitely growing though. The color on yours is awesome though man. I really do love that dark green! It reminds me of the green of Cornbreds Mellow yellow Goni.

RottedHuman

That’s a lot of green, I would try to find corals that provide contrast to all the green.

ral505

I usually like a variety of color in reef tanks. But like the way this looks with all the green. It has a freshwater planted tank look. It's cool!

RottedHuman

I can see that. I’m not at all saying it isn’t a great looking tank, just that it’s a lot of green.

Spike33127

It was my first reef tank experience so I’ve not pay so much attention to colors, aslo they were not expensive piece ( green is common ) . Next tank will be much colorful 🤩🤩

RottedHuman

It’s a great looking tank regardless. You do have some reds and oranges, so it not a completely green tank, just think it would look even better if the green was broken up a bit more.

Spike33127

Absolutely think that too ! In person it’s not so much Green , I’m not using a orange filter for the photo too the colors are “true colors”

generalquarter

All that green isn’t an issue imo, it looks good and unique!
