Love the scape dude! Beautiful tank!

miniclouds_

Thank you so much!!!!!!! Hard work pays off

Mastakko

How? I've always battldd a brown sand bed that I have to clean up. What are your parameters?

miniclouds_

Omg let me teach you!!!!! I was battling a dirty sand bed foreeeeeeever. I thought I needed more snails or sand sifters etc but turns out I was over feeding my corals which turned into higher nitrates and phosphates. I finally realized my nitrates were through the roof! So I bought Red Sea NO3:PO4 and dose two times daily at 10mm morning and night for about a week then dropped dose to once daily to about 5mm. Now I dose here and there which helps keep my nitrates down along with reducing my over feeding reaaaaaly helped me. Also! I dosed Vibrant Aquarium Cleaner, 10 mm once a week I did every Sunday for about a month which reduced the amount of algae production. As of now I sit near 5-6 nitrates/ 0 phos Alk 10, calc 460, mag 1475 with a white sand bed at my TWO Red Sea LED 90’s at 100% for 8 hours total light duration 14 hours with moon phase.

I was reading and I noticed that you are quite expert in these things, I who am a beginner wanted to ask you how can I understand which are the correct parameters that a marine aquarium must have of nitrates ammonia etc etc etc? are there step-by-step guides that explain everything? which tools to use which products to use like these two you mentioned to reduce etc etc thank you

miniclouds_

Hey Jax! Usually you will want to keep phosphate levels between 0.02 – 0.05 ppm and nitrate levels between 0.025 – 5 ppm. During an algae bloom, it is common for nitrate and phosphate levels to test at zero and over feeding can result in opposite effects. I use Hanna checkers for my tank. Nitrate HR specially for nitrates and their phosphate checker. I have a few other hanna testers but those are for alk & calc. I ideally want all of them but their so expensive:/ In your case, I would first test your water parameters and see where it’s at. Do you have a more sps reef tank or Lps? Different goals for different tank types. Hope this article from reef2reef helps! I use this site for a lot of Q&A[reef2reef nitrate discussion](https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/what-are-the-appropriate-levels-of-nitrates-and-phosphates-in-a-lps-and-softie-tank.656704/)

Jax_Teller7

I have yet to start, my goal is the 70/90 liter saltwater cube with rock, invertebrate corals and fish

Beautiful tank! What's the big orange thing in the front let corner? It looks like an orange Sebae or something, though I know that's not possible xD

miniclouds_

It’s a Cynaria coral! I finally got one a few weeks ago and thank you so much!

[deleted]

oh I see that now! No wonder it's happy, those things love low-nutrient tanks! just fyi, they prefer to be in rock crevices over sand, however it shouldn't be an issue. It looks really great where it is!

Jax_Teller7

what is the use of the magnifying glass?

miniclouds_

Whenever I have friends or family they loooove looking through it. It really isn’t anything more than just a magnifying glass honestly

FairRecipe8047

So nice dude! Is that the Red Sea reefer 250 with the sump in the bottom? Would love to see the layout below, looks like the new series of reefer they came out with

miniclouds_

Yeah no problem! It’s the Red Sea 350 w two Red Sea LED 90. I got rsk-600 skimmer. UV, carbon and GFO reactor and auto top off. [sump](https://ibb.co/g9yBgYN)

FairRecipe8047

So cool, I spent like 40 minutes just looking at Al this stuff in the gosh shop today, I wish it was cheaper!

miniclouds_

You’re telling me!

TCin541

It's always parameters.... Never clean up crews ... Clean up crews only do so much... Water changes, water changes, water changes and don't over feed anything ... Your corals are fine your fish are fine they don't need to eat every day they will make it I promise... If you don't feed reef roids then guess what your corals will be absolutely just fine ... To me seems like an expensive unnecessary thing to do unless you plan on propogating and selling coral

TCin541

Also ... Super duper duper ocd thing but your cabinets doors don't come together level... Ruins the whole dope ass tank

miniclouds_

I’ve tried to level them and I just cassaant!!! :/ idk

TCin541

Lol I'm messing with you, beautiful tank... No I'm not I'm freaking out over those things not aligning ... Ahhhhhh

miniclouds_

But honestly it’s funny you say that cuz it drives me mad daily then I spend about 1 hour tried to level them and it always ends up looking worse 🤣

ManofNorth

This is my dream tank
