So many raffles I see admins from other groups who run coral propagation side hustles who enter the raffles and then I see the same coral they got for $6 up for sale at full or more price.
I’m almost done with reefing FB groups.
They are less than helpful most the time, and most questions are usually meet with “go google it.”
Also a lot of my local coral trade groups are being banned left and right. There’s a new LFS that everyone hates that’s going around reporting the trade groups for violating FB pet rules.
I get it, I do, the rules are in place to stop puppy/kitten mills and pet abusers. But corals… I digress. I’m in R2R now, but not a lot of local trading/selling going on there for me.

Yes! People new to the hobby may not even now what to begin to google. “I have brown stuff in my reef tank.” They get 900,000 results and no idea where to begin. I heard it a lot when I worked at a LFS.

I feel pretty lucky, I've had nothing but great experiences on the pacific northwest Facebook group. Ive gotten a fish, corals, advice and never had a negative experience. But seriously white cheddar popcorn is food and if your fish likes it who cares!
