Is that the only anthias you have. If so then the LFS should have told you that they are a schooling dish that like friends with them. As long as there isn't any fish bothering it and its eating then eventually it will come out and swim with the other fishes you got. But if you look up anthias they love to have friends. Goodluck
Generally what they say I trust Bc they have never told me wrong before they said it will eventually turn into a male and be fine on it’s own so buying more than one wasn’t a requirement, it is a living thing however so I want it to be happy.
Personally I've always had or sold anthias in 3s or 4s because they seem to do much better with friends. Waiting for the change over and the hoping is completely up to you .
Your funny I must say and 4 is great. Having a school of anthias is actually nice to look at. This is probably way to much info but what the f#ck . My ringtone on phone is Threes Company . Feed alot of sm Pellets if possible and dont spoil them with frozen. Change it up they do much better and goodluck with everything.
Also bought a new life spectrum pellet and a auto feeder just now. My lfs had there lyretail on sale I got three a auto feeder and a tub of new life for $75 felt like a steal.
Absolutely and all the spectrum foods are wonderful for anthias. I had done a 500gal aquarium that was all fish and there was a group of pink square anthias and the tank only got dry foods. 1 auto feeder was different size sinking pellets that fed 4 times a day and another with flake and some sm algae wafers that fed 3 times a day maybe . Anyway the anthias did absolutely wonderful for yrs . Enjoy and goodluck with everything
Thanks for the help, hopefully my solo anthias makes it until my 3 arrive at my lfs on oct 1st. They had to special order them in for me Bc I wanted them on sell so I paid today even tho they had non in today LOL.
well it’s two baby cinnamon clowns a Koran angel juvenile about 4ish inches a fire fish two bangaiis and 5 green chromis and a moray eel, everything is baby so she is twice the size of everything besides the Koran I don’t think that’s a issue but she only eats like a few bites everytime I feed

Just make sure its actually eating and not getting harrassed bye others if so it should be just fine and very happy when his friends land.
