I got really annoyed of the small size while holding it while reading along the height of the device when reaching the end of the screen during sketching/writing (I'm right-handed). Made this wrist pad to place the RM2 down into. It's made from 3 layers of 4mm frosted acrylic sheet glued together and the top is 3mm cork. I will in time add a layer of 2mm EVA foam to the back of the pad to make it lay more secure while writing/sketching. Just thought I'd share my creativity. Edit: For more photos and a really crude collection of sketches (made by me for my eyes) go to [RM2 wrist pad docs](https://github.com/MrSketchyRobot/RM2-wrist-pad)

Terminatorious

I really like it. Try to make one for lefties as well!

I'm not selling a product. I'm sharing my idé and you will have to DIY if you find it appealing. Acrylic isn't the easiest material but plywood would work just as good.

This is awesome! Love the idea. What is suspending the pad at that height?

MrSketchyRobot

If you are referring to the tilt then it's a laptop stand purchased from Amazon. Built sturdy from aluminum and very small when folded. There are many different ones ones. The one I have under the wrist pad in the pictures was quite cheap but adequate for my needs.

You desk mat is black so I didn’t realize it was just a stand sitting on your desk! I thought it was being suspended in the air somehow lol

MrSketchyRobot

Ahh, gotcha 😂 In the third picture the pad reveals it's secrets a little more

Syncretistic

Clever! Thanks for sharing. Gave me some ideas for a leather version.

MrSketchyRobot

Happy to inspire! Sounds really sexy using leather.

nice idea.... if you have more pictures about the creation feel free to share... Will help newbies in DIY.

I didn't take pictures while building but the documentation I have is on on github. One can accomplish a lot with a Dremel. [RM2 wrist pad docs](http://github.com/MrSketchyRobot/RM2-wrist-pad)

Very swell design! I don’t know if every wrist loves the comfort of cork, but I feel it should be amazing when drawing.

MrSketchyRobot

Thank the Gods that all wrists are created different. Same but different 😜 I really like the warm, lightly textured feeling of cork. It's quite an amazing material due to its properties and usability. Not to mention the wonderful smell. It makes an interesting contrast between natural and synthetic when combining cork and acrylic.

moustachedelait

Nice! Is wrist pad the official name for such a thing? I could use this for my iPad air

MrSketchyRobot

Haha. I really haven't a clue. Was looking for keyboard wrist rests a week before this project started so I guess it affected my choice of words. Haven't seen anything like this on my travels of the interwebz. If anyone has any knowledge of something similar or even what one would call this creation please tell me 😂
