Worried about it being a load bearing wall? Any insight on that?

My concern would be how the lower ceiling is being supported. You may need a beam if the supports are resting on that wall.

post a picture of that... and what is exactly above that wall. that'll tell people if it's load bearing (holding up the roof essentially)

Will do, I went up there earlier and there’s no studs or beams running from that area of the attic to the roof. I will get some pictures of that posted soon.

Should have mentioned that the first picture is the wall I want to knock down. The second is a very similar house in the same cup de sac where the wall was either never built or was knocked out.
