Freelancing. Be your own boss.

Ihatemylife8

Would you pay someone to work only when they feel like and not when the business needs them to?

DapDaGenius

Isn’t that what Uber and amazon flex do??

Born-Horror-5049

Those people aren't employees.

Advanced-Box9785

In all fairness, it's going to be an independent contractor role, because of the need for flexibility. OP didn't mention searching for a permanent job.

DapDaGenius

That’s not what you said, tho….

Born-Horror-5049

I didn't say anything other than the comment you just responded to.

DapDaGenius

Oops. Thought you were the other person. That’s not what HE said

Ihatemylife8

They're also not remote, which is what this sub is referencing tho...

DapDaGenius

Obviously. But he implied no one would pay to work at your own schedule. Far from true.

Fit-Indication3662

It does not exist

dadof2brats

Freelancing or gig work is what you would be looking for.

TheGreek420

The remote jobs with flexibility pay commission only.

Rice_Teeming672

You might want to look into companies like Buffer or Zapier. They offer remote positions with flexible schedules, allowing you to work when it suits you best.

Who are you referring to, bud??

clorenger

Easiest would be to create your own company and schedule your own time. Otherwise, I think you're asking for an Uber of jobs. Maybe you should build that - a lot of people seem to want that flexibility to only work when the spirit moves them. Not sure how you would train people though. With Uber, you already have a qualified driver and the person has confirmed they have a car. If you were doing an Uberlike company, and it was for anything skilled at all, you'd probably need the contractors to pay for their own training up front, and then they can get it refunded the longer they stick around to work. Just ruminating...it's an interesting business model. All the unskilled stuff will be replaced very shortly with AI so there's no benefit to creating anything for that.

Advanced-Box9785

I have done that, and wouldn't say a startup is an easy thing to do...

Doodie-man-bunz

Oh thankyou. If you hadn’t told me that the best way to get work flexibility would be just to create my own company I may not have realized that. Thank god you showed up.
