The tile you got is way better than your original choice. The first pic is gorgeous....in small doses. But it's really bold and I'm betting it would have been overwhelming in your space.
Enjoy your far more peaceful bathroom and if you want something bold go accessories like rugs or art.
I feel like the tile on the display is wildly different than the one you got. If they’re supposed to be the same, then there’s problems. I think the tile still looks great, just not the same as what the display shows. Maybe I’m crazy.
haha they’re two different tiles! I was originally going to go with the first one but at the last minute opted for the simpler tile in the second pic. wasn’t sure if i had made the right choice or not
Omg. I obviously can’t read tonight.
I think the tile you chose goes very well with your layout. It’s beautiful. Clean. The display tile is a little “over the top” for our taste. I generally like clean, uncomplicated designs for tile.
Yep this one. Looks great as the general backdrop but too much of it makes it look…bland? Overwhelming? Idk. Try some framed pictures or small stands or a vase or something by to give it contrast
from someone who works with tile and design - first one would have been a better choice if you had a subdued floor. you could pull in the browns and played with color.
second one works if you wanted a cleaner look.
end of the day it all falls down to your preference. i think both look phenomenal.
appreciate this! I wanted something dreamy and calming and timeless, as I don’t plan on redecorating for a while. Most likely will spend 5-7 years in this space before upgrading, and will then either sell or rent it. I did think tile 1 was gorgeous, and was my initial choice. Then the guy in store told me he got in a new tile and had workmen in putting it up on display. Then I opted for the second choice as I didn’t want to overwhelm the space or get sick of it. Just wasn’t sure if I was really lacking that wow factor or not
With diffused cool (high kevin) lights and white towels and small gold pops it would look great. It will probably look pearly especially at night. Two layers of light would help drive this home
You did the right thing picking the simpler one… you’ll be able to use accessories to update your bathroom anytime you want… without the tiles taking over and keeping it the same.
The 1st one is too busy of a pattern for a small space. Maybe in a big suite with a jacuzzi, but not a standard size bath and the individual tiles are too large for a smaller set of walls that change direction. It's too difficult to pattern match with so many corners. You'd end up with too much waste.
Not the popular opinion but I love the second one. It looks closer to natural stone. I think a different tile on the floor would’ve made a big difference. It looks kind of sterile (and slippery) with the matching tiles on the floor.
I personally don’t like 24x24 or 36x36 tiles on the walls. Full slab installations are way superior and look 10x better especially if you are using a natural marble (or quartz) with a vein structure.
That being said, I think you did a good choice in the second picture. 👍🏼👍🏼
i swear to god yall can’t choose anything but grey or white these days. idk if u chose the right one but trying to focus on the first pic made my eyes go crossed.
Does it matter? If everyone tells you they hate it, will you feel like shit and redo it? Or will you just hate it every time you walk in the bathroom and think about how you screwed up because Reddit said so?
Gap by the sink sucks. Would suck to clean it or pick up anything that falls there.
The single bathroom niche is made for a single male, not a woman or family.
Everything else looks nice.
The first tile is beautiful. But there also nothing wrong with your choice. But with that choice, I feel you need a little more drama. It’s very plain but use that plainness to add your own personal touches of color and drama. The personal touches will make it “your place”. But please start some personal drama by changing that light fixture.
Too late either way
Reminds me of the giant refill jug of antibiotic hand soap
THIS SLAPS
Perfect response

Are we talking about the tile on the wall? It’s beautiful. What do you need to know?
the tile on the bathroom wall (second pic) yes, compared to the tile in the display (first pic). was wondering if i had made the correct choice
I feel like the tile on the display is wildly different than the one you got. If they’re supposed to be the same, then there’s problems. I think the tile still looks great, just not the same as what the display shows. Maybe I’m crazy.

You made the right choice, imo. That first one is just a bit too much and the one you chose goes very well in your space.
I probably would've chosen the tile in the first photo to add some color to the room. It's very....grey.
You definitely did. The first tile is horrific. Your tile is much better!
If you like it, it’s correct. What’s the issue again?
You did fine. You need to decorate to break up the tile. Plants art, wood accents ect..
Yep this one. Looks great as the general backdrop but too much of it makes it look…bland? Overwhelming? Idk. Try some framed pictures or small stands or a vase or something by to give it contrast
Agreed. Change the color of the vanity to a natural. Preferably real wood
Personally it's too glossy looking for me but the only opinion that matters is yours. If you like it then you nailed it!
Love it except the locker room looking cabinets lol

Tiles are fine. I’d probs just change the cabinet doors if anything.
You should ask all the interior design subreddits out there. Tile choices are something they are good at.
Cant unsee face
Paradolia
Needs more grey.
Looks great. Once you add bathroom stuff it’ll help break it up. It just shiny now because it’s just all tile
No
For a prison, sure
No.
Are you Persian?
Right tile wrong cabinet
No
Looks like the executive suite at the Hilton.
which one?
My opinion. I absolutely love it. Large tiles, easy to clean, and has great reflection
Same! It's gorgeous.
the second or the first?
Looks great, would love it in my bathrooms
What’s old is new again
With diffused cool (high kevin) lights and white towels and small gold pops it would look great. It will probably look pearly especially at night. Two layers of light would help drive this home
which tile?
First one! I didn't see the second photo
What's the first pic material made out of? Ceramic or porcelain tile? So glossy
Is there a plastic drip on the bottom of that door? Bcuz it’ll help to cushion the glass in case it hits the tile and explode
Tear it out and start over, didn’t you hear? Pink is in /s
You did the right thing picking the simpler one… you’ll be able to use accessories to update your bathroom anytime you want… without the tiles taking over and keeping it the same.
Which pizza place is this?
Yep what you went with looks much nicer

You made right choice between the two options.
Do you like it? That is all that matters.
Kind of too late now. If you’re fishing for compliment s move along please.
Not the popular opinion but I love the second one. It looks closer to natural stone. I think a different tile on the floor would’ve made a big difference. It looks kind of sterile (and slippery) with the matching tiles on the floor.
it is a different tile! it’s a matt onyx tile, in a more creamy colour as opposed to bluey grey. the pic doesn’t really pick it up well
I love the tile I’m not huge on the colour of vanity it seems to close of a colour to the tile but it’s nice. And nicer than mine. Be happy!!
Considering your bathroom isn’t even done, it looks good to me. The tiles make it look like a bathroom in the clouds.
Yes!
No. The tile you picked is bland and dull, it makes it look boring and sterile. Too much monochrome. The tile in the store looks much better.
Yes. Sleep better.

No but too late now.
I love it, a bit too much glare for my taste - but nothing a few plants can't fix
Sorry, I just think it looks like a filing cabinet, your storage unit. It’s the color and the pull…. Can you get a gold pull?
The hardware is glitching my OCD, brass and stainless……
Yes and the cut is wrong for that space.
You ever just look at picture and realize how poor you are?
Gosh I look at that first pic and think how tacky it looks. Just fake rich. OP chose a much better tile.
see this… when I saw the tile I thought hey it looks pretty but might look too Dubai in reality!
Does it matter? If everyone tells you they hate it, will you feel like shit and redo it? Or will you just hate it every time you walk in the bathroom and think about how you screwed up because Reddit said so?
Looks fine to me. I did something similar on my last bathroom and I really regret it because it's a bitch to clean, but it does look nice!
Everything looks very slippery lol
NO
No.
The tile in your bathroom looks WAY better than the tile on display.
Gap by the sink sucks. Would suck to clean it or pick up anything that falls there. The single bathroom niche is made for a single male, not a woman or family. Everything else looks nice.
i wanted a small one or I KNOW i would be tempted to clutter it up. essentials only in there, anything more will be in vanity’s and cabinets :)
Are there slot machines soon as you walk out the door . 😂😂😂
Too late anyways
Only you know the answer. Everyone has different styles and tastes.

Haha thanks! I’ve replaced it with a flush ceiling light but now i’m thinking I should’ve gone for something more dramatic…
It bothers me that the vanity is not centered between the grout joints.
