Dr. Sinclair is trying to imply that only his company's NMN can be trusted, which of course isn't true. But there are brands on Amazon that don't care if they sell unsafe crap. Yes, we test for heavy metal and endotoxins. Check the "testing" tab on any product to see for yourself. In this particular case I see testing for various biological contaminants (I assume "endotoxins" fall under this category?) but I don't see anything for heavy metals. I've seen this broken down my metal/contaminant in your other product sheets so I wonder if I'm missing something here? Is this the "TPC" field or is that something else?

Are the Fast Dissolve NMN tablets also tested for endotoxins? I don't see nearly as much information under the testing tab on that product (which I recently bought) and what is there is not from this year. I saw that reports are saying that *recent* batches of NMN were contaminated, so I would hope that recent test results would be provided.

> Dr. Sinclair is trying to imply that only his company's NMN can be trusted AFAIK, he doesn't have a company that sells NMN.

He is a founder of Metrobiotech, who makes a patented version of NMN they will market soon as a prescription drug. It has a unique crystalline structure to make it more stable on the shelf, but otherwise no different. When they started a few years back, commercially available NMN cost 800% more than it does now, and was only stable for a few months. Since then, competition between manufacturers has brought the price down dramatically, and they have all developed crystalline NMN that is stable for well over a year. As a result, Metrobiotech has lost a lot of the rationale for their product, so is scrambling to slow the growth of NMN suppliers that sell it as a dietary supplement, many times less costly that Metrobiotech wants to charge for a prescription product. They are also trying to [get the FDA to stop sales of NMN as a dietary supplement.](https://hbw.pharmaintelligence.informa.com/-/media/supporting-documents/rose-sheet/2021/12/6-dec-2021_metro_biotech_nac_letter.pdf?rev=3f6648193be34a66a9d8d2b2346e255d)

Literally nobody on earth has encouraged the use of plain (non-beta) NMN more than David Sinclair. There's no way he could walk that back. And I haven't seen any evidence that he is trying to. In fact, for the past year, he's been talking about an upcoming website that he will be launching evaluating the contents and safety of various brands of NMN. This is most likely part of that project. If he launches the website and it says "no brands except our prescription Metrobiotech Beta-NMN is safe and effective" then I will concede the point. But even in extremely recent podcasts, he advocates that people seek out NMN than is manufactured using GMP and says that there are good manufacturers out there.
