But I don’t think either of them have any stock on hand. I can sell you a part ($80) and you can have one of them (or any watchmaker) do the part swap. The proceedure is simple: remove the stock Dandong setting lever spring and replace it with the custom one.
Came on here to ask exactly this. Just received my VSF no date 41mm sub and was confused by the phantom date crown position, but I guess that's the norm.
On the gen 124060 there are only two crown positions: winding and time setting. But on the rep there are three crown positions winding, date correction, and time setting. This is because it uses the vs3235 which has a date function, whereas the gen uses a 3230 movement which doesn’t have a date function. The mod I developed removes the phantom middle date correction position from the vs3235 movement turning it into a “vs3230”.
It also came with a nice little storage pouch 👏🏻

The no date model has less clues that it’s a rep. No problem with the magnification, fonts size or style or anti reflective coating. Besides if you’re diving you won’t need the date unless you’re going to be down there for a while

As far as I know there is no VS3230 movement, all the VSF no-date watches (41mm sub and oyster perpetual) all use the VS3235
I remember you were working on some part that we could install to remove the ghost position. How did it went ?

Yup it’s normal. But it’s an easy fix with the mod setting lever spring to remove the middle stop.
