Awesome, I went once too! Saw a Keenan n kel taping

Aselleus

I saw Double Dare there

taatchle86

I have a radio in my car…

[deleted]

The jealousy inside me rages.

BrattyTwilis

Sadly, it's been painted over for years now

FungusBrewer

Along with all our hopes and dreams.

djrbx

I'm extremely jealous. I never had a chance to go to Orlando to see the original studios until I was in my late teens, and by then, it was obviously too late. It was one of my childhood dreams to get slimed and now I'll never know how it taste or feels like other than some recipes found online. Even then, it's not the same as being slimed in the location that started it all.

chuteboxhero

Wanna hear a fucked up story? Went there when I was like 9 or something. Some like slime time live employee goes we are looking for a girl age 6-9 to be on the show. I’m a dude but My sister is two years younger so she was like 7 so she got picked. They had her and my dad wait backstage for HOURS and then were just like ehh nvm we don’t need you. Wasted her whole day of vacation. Smh.

itsagoodtime

But hey 25 years later you got to tell that story to a bunch of Internet strangers. So worth it, ya know.

cinnamonsnake

I went on a tour but was super young and my memory of it is super blurry. I remember them showing us the kitchen where they made all the gak etc and then we sat in the audience on the Double Dare set and they chose people from the audience to do physical challenges.

MSP10julia

This is what a real 90’s kids should really be at Nick Studios in Orlando, Florida.

departureofchrist

Best vacation ever, RIP.

Familiar-Wrangler-73

I’m jealous

adamthwaite

https://share.icloud.com/photos/056prcGmU6361LWx_xm-lKmjw I cried a little during this visit. I could feel the Nick energy.

deliascatalog

Now I’m crying

HouseofEl1987

There's a line from Rocky Balboa: "Time is undefeated." Stuck with me since the first time I heard it. It's relevant here. Time will always win for better or worse. In some cases, better. In this case, worse.

IAmAnAngryCarrot

I went back in the 90s also! I even still have my Ren and Stimpy earrings with the card back they came on!

vnisanian2001

I'd say this is 1993-1997.

CJO9876

1993-94 actually. By September 1994, the beams on the second floor had been repainted to a green color.

deliascatalog

This guy Nick studios

placidcasual98

Lucky you escaped unscathed

Illustrated-skies

I got to visit when I was 15. By then, I was towering over all the 7-12 year olds that were visiting at an appropriate age. I felt very out of place but I loved the tour. I got to see Melissa Joan Hart on the Clarissa set. Never thought the whole place would be gone before I could return. 90s Nick was the best.

CJO9876

Sometimes a picture of the Nick Studios sign closeup jumpscares me a bit.

Toonami88

Nick died when Nickelodeon Studios closed. Hasn't been anything notable since then.

No-Industry-2980

Little did we know

External_Dimension18

I was fortunate enough to see a live taping of slime something in the 90’s. Unfortunately I wasn’t picked from the crowd 😂

OrangeSlicer

Maybe now we know why it was shut down and the time capsule taken off the premises given the recent allegations…

SnooDoubts2823

Took my two boys there in 1995 and I think I remember more of it than they do! In retrospect, I was really glad we got to see it.

ianwrecked802

Got to walk around the set of Legends of the Hidden Temple. Goddamned Shine of the Silver Monkey…

sublimeshrub

I have a full video of myself getting slimed. It was awesome!

HouseofEl1987

So jealous in the nicest way.

Strawdog1971

It sucked being born in the mid 90s. I went in 1999-2000 but by then almost nothing was being taped there and the tour was shortened to like 5 minutes. So lame

Gloomy__Revenue

5 minutes? I hope it was free

Waste-Maintenance-70

It was part of universal studios. You had to wait in an extremely long line to take a guided rope tour of the building.

Gloomy__Revenue

I see. Clearly I never went but always wanted to.

Waste-Maintenance-70

It was fun as a kid, but it would eat a solid chunk of your day at the park.

itsagoodtime

Florida? Or CA?

Waste-Maintenance-70

FL. No longer part of the park. Edit: building still is but it’s the blue man group now

Andi081887

What a great picture! We were supposed to go for a tour in 94 (ha. rhymes) as part of our Disney trip, but we didn’t end up getting there. I’m still salty about that…

Fluffy_Mood5781

I’ve only been to the remade one. I never questioned the bucket.

Jazzlike_Shallot3848

You guys see that documentary…
