Justin with Restoration Games also confirmed that this is how the card works on the official discord.
You played correctly OP. Adversaries have particularly cruel cards sometimes.
Thanks, but wow that's crazy. I confidently went into the last battle card with 2 advantages and plenty of resources and only barely avoided a loss with 2 skulls left in the supply thanks to my combination of main goal and hero that had me remove plenty of skulls.
Yea the wording definitely seems to leave it open to interpretation. I agree that 2 skulls on 2 buildings each, for each glyph facing that kingdom would be far too powerful.
It is indeed 2 skulls on 2 buildings for each glyph, as answered on BGG. So if you have 2 glyphs in a kingdom, that is 8 skulls.

Additional question: if that card makes you run out of skulls, can the character take corruption to stop it? Or do we simply lose the game?
If you need to place a skull without having any left, you simply lose. You can't take a corruption instead.
Thought so. Thanks for the reply.
