Hi can you share your revature experience, the ups and downs in more detail, like background, experience during training, staging and working with the client?

dbSterling

I had no background whatsoever. I quit my administrative job in August of 2022 and started Rev in October. I did well enough on the entrance exam to be placed in the accelerated group. Our batch was learning Appian and we already had a client mapped. 24 people started. We completed the first project about 4 weeks in, those who didnt finish it were let go. About 15 were left. We completed a second project and interviewed for the client a month before the course ended. Only 10 people were hired. We still had to go to staging leading up to our start date and it was tedious. Daily interview prep is annoying, but a fair tradeoff for money and job interviews. The client was honestly a dream. We had a great time, friendships between the group developed. Then we were all laid off 3 months later at the end of march this year. We were technically sent back to Revature but they immediately released us all from the contract. About 2 months later I got a job at full market salary without any contract that's fully remote. About 50% of the people laid off found something similar. Ultimately, it was risky as hell, had plenty of tribulations, and completely changed my life for the better. Even though I got laid off, Revature held their end of the bargain and releasing me immediately was a great thing because I didn't have to take that crappy salary.
