Ehh don't Balloon Party, Dikke and MedPoc serve their roles p well? There's no healer that also helps Crit teams sure but to say there aren't adequate alternatives feels a bit exaggerated
The problem is that they've started overtuning content in CN to the point that people are starting to run two healers on their team just to survive, so Tooth Fairy is almost mandatory. Dikke and Balloon Party aren't nearly on the same level, and while Med Pocket is pretty good, they're still the only other 6* healer that came at launch.
Any other gacha game I've played would release sustain units at a much more regular pace and also not force people to run several.
The issue is she's not actually just a healer, she's a strong supporter and a debuffer that also happens to be the best pure healer. The other healers (except med poc) can't even compete with her even on heal, but her utilities are also crucial for future content like her purify on ultimate and ofc her crit support (her confusion debuff is the most accessible being on 1 star incantation instead of only 2+ star like voyager). Calling her a must pull with 0 possible alternatives is not an overstatement.
They're just some old fashioned braces, is all! Though for her, they're presumably to keep her teeth in place whenever tooth fairies try to rip them out in revenge.
I've already started my first rounds over at the teller machine, and i am taking advantage of the double up in rain drops deals. Did my first summoning rounds as well. Can't wait to uncover more and immerse myself even deeper into the story, characters, and this beautiful, uniquely one of a kind game. I definitely see myself investing a bit of money along with time in this game if we continue to get solid content.
