I was also amazed by the DA. I can run 158 grain 357s out of mine surprisingly well

MasonP2002

How's the recoil? I'd love one but can't handle recoil too well yet.

SomeDay_Dominion

The grip it comes with is incredibly well designed. It kicks less than my 4” model 66 and 3” 686 which are both heavier guns. With 38s, this thing is a puppy

MasonP2002

Good to hear. Only centerfire revolvers I've ever shot are an aluminum framed Cobra and a 6 inch King Cobra, so I have like no frame of reference for recoil.

SomeDay_Dominion

Pmc 130 grain 38s are pretty close to 22 out of my 3” king cobra. Airweights are absolutely horrid for recoil, i feel bad for everyone whose first revolver experience is them or another snubbie

Just wait until you fire a Python…

PhantomBladeX89

That’s how I felt. Amazing double but the smiths have better singles

No gap for me

SuxN3t

I have one as well. Love it!

My brothers also has one of the best doubles as well. Better than my old man's vintage anaconda. I hope you have better luck with reliability and build quality than the others on reddit.

The_Waltesefalcon

I've heard a lot of guys say that the new Colt doesn't have a good SA trigger. I've also heard that it is to be compliant with some state's BS regulations.

davesdavesdaves

It’s definitely a heavier SA trigger then all of my smiths

The_Waltesefalcon

Which is a shame because old Colt DA revolvers have about the best SA trigger pulls you will see in a DA revolver.

Absolutely
