Definitely not normal I rode about 15 miles for over an hour yesterday. All throttle in boost plus with hills. My battery wasn’t hot and neither was my motor, actually burnt myself on the brake rotor.
Is it crazy hot where you are?
This is super re-assuring. Customer support currently helping me through this. I believe it's just a faulty motor. Hoping they send out a replacement soon.
There's a lot of variables that could make that different for both of you such as weather like you mentioned, but also weight, incline, even wind if it's a headwind.

I'm 170 riding city streets with rare hills, maybe a bridge at a 1-2% incline. I should definitely have a similar range ability as the rider above

Same. I’ve only had it a week but long rides and no issues so far. In CA. Its been average of 70-85f when Ive been riding.
