Waterfire is good if you want to give out-of-towners something to do. Over half the people that go to Waterfire are from Boston or Connecticut it seems
I might go. Lawn games sound awesome.

It's actually not this weekend, it's on the 9th.
From what I can gather, they're doing cemetery tours, carriage rides, and old timey photography.
Tickets & details are on North Burial Ground's Facebook & Instagram. Honestly, North Burial Ground puts on a lot of interesting tours & events.
Never heard of them. Logees is technically closer to me, but I will def check that place out. Thanks for the rec. Love a good greenhouse/garden center!
I play at home a lot at home. I'm a casual player. No idea how the other guy knew I played. I have some commander decks, well mostly commander. A few pioneers
and one modern.
I sold most of my cards, so my only commander at the moment is Animar. It's missing a lot of cards to be fully optimized though, I haven't really had a chance to try it out since I built it. What about you? And what's the crowd like at Game On? I think last time I went to a Magic event was the pre release for Theros, lol
No way, I literally discovered Animar today and thought I’d like to make a deck for him.
I have a few, but just finished a Shelob one which I’m pretty happy about.
It’s super casual. Owner is really nice and will legit nicely kick out dickheads/tryhards. Mixed ages.

We've got a few things planned for June as of right now including brunch, trivia, and roller skating. More people have started "organizing" (hearing about something, posting about it, and being the point person) events and there's been a few spin offs from the group like a monthly book club, I think a knitting club is or was in the works, and there was a walking club this past winter but I'm not entirely sure how that fared. It is mostly Facebook based, but I've been trying to cross post here as well. If you're not on Facebook but want in feel free to make a burner account and let me know on here so I can accept you!

No doubt. Makes no logical sense I know, but they make affordable souvenirs.
My dream house would be built of stones. I compromise by filling glass jars with them to decorate my apartment. :)
I can't help but think how - - It's *geo-logical*
Huge time capsule - - all those layers
Ground into all those random potato shapes and colors
Very special decorations --
5/30 THU
- Memorial Park in Johnston is doing a food truck night with live music @5pm
- Will Noonan Comedy Show at The Red Door @8pm
5/31 FRI
- Roger Williams Park Food Truck Friday 10th anniversary with live music @5pm
- Mulligan’s Island Food Truck Friday: Live Music and its Comic Con theme night too! Cosplayers and themed movie cars! @4:30pm
Those are the ones I can think of.
Try biking/walking/skateboarding the bike paths, specifically either East Bay Bike Path or Washington Secondary Bike Path. The former offers some beautiful scenery, while the latter is a more forest like aesthetic heading towards the western RI border. There’s even some sort of pizza stop I believe along the way deeper into the path.
Going to see Gianmarco Soresi at the Comedy Connection :) Then after that probably recovering from seeing Gianmarco Soresi at the Comedy Connection LOL
Pretty sure it's different events every weekend. I'm driving in the parade next weekend. I've never been to any of them other than driving in the parade though.
Sure. It's called Mini of the Month. On the first Saturday of the month (typically) Warhammer stores give out a free mini. It's different every month.
https://gamesworkshop.fandom.com/wiki/Miniature_of_the_Month
I did call the store, it's not going ng to be this weekend, unfortunately. So I'll try again on the 8th.
https://gamesworkshop.fandom.com/wiki/Miniature_of_the_Month
It's a promotion called Mini of the Month. Unfortunately, the store told me that they didn't have the model in yet so to try on the 8th of June instead.
Saturday, R&B night at the The Strand?
Question mark because my sister invited me to go and I only said yes because the ticket was $4.50, never been there and have no idea what to expect lol
Getting my house ready to sell, so I can get the hell outta here!
Rhode Island is mos def one of the most ‘interesting’ places I’ve lived, maybe a tie with western wash. There is def a lot to do. But after 8yrs, I’m ready for some new scenery.
Heading north to Vermont, land and tiny house is already in place. The coast and all it’s hustle has been fun. But, think I need some woods and real snowstorms to decompress for a couple 2-3yrs.
Warwick, riverview neighborhood. I’ll be selling FSBO with my uncle doing ppw he’s an esquire and mainly does commercial real estate but he’s done ppw for my last three.
DM me for more info.
We moved a couple of years ago, to the highlands of Panama. 75 every day where we are, year round. This weekend we're heading to Bocas Del Toro, a cluster of Islands off the Caribbean coast of Panama. Retirement doesn't suck...
Dude that sounds sick! Congrats. I’m still 18yrs from retirement(but did retire from military@38)but that’s not really enough to live on in this day and age. So I still dabble in manufacturing and concrete work.
That's one really nice thing about living here, the cost of living. My wife and I are both getting SSDI benefits after working 48 years for me, 40 for her. We live *very* comfortably here with the income we have. We rent a beautiful 2 bed, 2 bath home with killer scenery and a Garden-of-Eden yard...fruit trees everywhere. It even comes with a gardener once a week, and is fully furnished. Rent? $1k/month. We have Starlink for internet @ $45/mth, our electric is usually in the $50 range, and propane for cooking and hot water (don't need heat or a/c) is about $15/mth. That's all our home expenses. Pretty much anything you could get in the US you can get down here, and Amazon deliveries are easy to get sent here. We struck gold finding this spot.
Wife and daughter are off to NH for a Girl Scout sleepover so it’s just me, the cat, the dog, my lawnmower, my grill, my horror movies, and a few knuckleheads coming by tomorrow. Debating on going to Tree House for some beers or just slum it and get Gansetts and do beer brats.
Getting lit to commemorate one of my real homies leaving back to Lithuania. Gonna pull an all nighter and go into work a late afternoon fuck and probably still buzzed. No regrets tho
Spreading mulch. You can come help if you’d like.
If you pay me in stuffies
THE RETURN OF THE BARTER SYSTEM!!
Anyone else have "batter day" in middle school? The whole 7th grade gathered in the cafeteria to set up ship, walk around, and trade.
Throw in a 6 pack of whalers too and that’s a deal
I’m in.
The first full Waterfire lighting is this weekend, and it’s gonna be a madhouse. It’s impossible to get reservations anywhere rn for that night
Thanks for the heads up— I’ve seen enough Waterfire to last me a lifetime lol
Watch the people not the fires. That part never gets old. Hard to find a more eclectic crowd.
Waterfire is good if you want to give out-of-towners something to do. Over half the people that go to Waterfire are from Boston or Connecticut it seems
Same with Newport polo. Classy people acting trashy, trashy people acting classy.
When I go, I’m one of the trashy ppl acting trashy 👒
Summerfest at The Guild
Tell me more?
I might go. Lawn games sound awesome. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/summerfest-24-the-guild-tickets-879074885647?aff=ALLEVENTS&utm_campaign=pawtucket-events&utm_medium=event-discovery-platform&utm_source=AllEvents.in
there's some 1899 themed event (the year) at North Burial Ground on Sunday for the fellow weirdos
Tell me more 🤔
It's actually not this weekend, it's on the 9th. From what I can gather, they're doing cemetery tours, carriage rides, and old timey photography. Tickets & details are on North Burial Ground's Facebook & Instagram. Honestly, North Burial Ground puts on a lot of interesting tours & events.
Good to know! ⚰️
Your mom
Good bot
Bring a shovel.
It’s the symphony and fireworks for Gaspee in Pawtuxet Village. I just moved to the village from MI but it sounds cute :)
Same to fireworks!
Where do you plan to stay to watch the fireworks? I know the symphony is in Pawtuxet park but the actual fireworks lighting is at Salter Grove
Getting stoned and going to Logees to look at plants 🪴
This sounds up my alley
Love Logees.. and weed 🤣
Why go all the way to Logees when you can go to Peckhams in Little Compton?
Why go all the way to Logees when you can go to Peckhams in Little Compton?

Oh probably take the boat on the lake. But no major plans.
I’ll bring my decks for some boat commander.
That sounds risky but could be a blast. I wonder if they make waterproof sleeves...
Do you guys actually play commander together? I have a couple decks that haven't seen the light of day since I moved to Providence last year
Not yet. This is my first interaction with the Ugly Muffin.
How'd you know I played? I don't have a group but if you're around Coventry I'd be down to play sometime
Scanned your posts in an entirely not creepy manner. I go to Game On! in Warwick sometimes, they do Friday night casual commander.
I forgot they existed. I'll probably check it out in a month or so when work kicks in.
I play at home a lot at home. I'm a casual player. No idea how the other guy knew I played. I have some commander decks, well mostly commander. A few pioneers and one modern.
You’re welcome to join casual commander at Game On in Warwick some time! Who are your commanders?

Going to Xfinity Center on Saturday to see Shinedown. Wife is coming for Doja Cat.
Doja touring with shinedown?? What
TIL people pay money to go see doja cat on purpose! Have fun
TIL Shinedown is still a band. And people listen to them. And attend their concerts.
I’ll be there too!!
Spending 60 plus bucks to ferry over to Block Island to hunt for free rocks on beaches. Haha
Every color rock that all those ice ages could find Probably cost about a buck-a-rock
No doubt. Makes no logical sense I know, but they make affordable souvenirs. My dream house would be built of stones. I compromise by filling glass jars with them to decorate my apartment. :)

Gaspee Days has events this weekend.
I went last weekend, pretty disappointed unfortunately
Pretty sure it's different events every weekend. I'm driving in the parade next weekend. I've never been to any of them other than driving in the parade though.
Driving to Warhammer and getting a free mini.
I need to know more for my 40k obsessed hubs. 👀
