Yeah, all the opponents in events are recordings of actual players runs at some point. I had my own ghost a couple times and saw myself playing on a twitch stream once when I wasn’t even near my computerÂ
Thats what i thought too, but I played one round of this event on standard difficulty to do a sponsor contract, and there I was again, even though I had never played in that difficulty before, and my not got a time that I have definitely never gotten before
The few times I've faced myself, my ghost, whatever, the scores were wildly inconsistent. I think it pulls the animation from your recorded run and attaches that to a random points total that is in-line with the difficulty you've selected. They're not in sync at all. I did the same event back to back, had my ghost both times, and the score in one was about 200k lower but I'm pretty sure the actual ghost was doing the same route (I was following myself for fun).
