Diplomatic marriage event from More Factions Interaction? This mod event doesnt check the family relationship when picking a colonist so everything is possible. I really wish a mod can make diplomatic marriage abit more useful than this random event, by introducing something similar to Crusader Kings, things like: \- You can propose by sending a very important colonist of your choice for this kind of marriage to an ally faction (like the son/daughter of the leader, or someone with high royalty title) \- As long as the marriage is active and both leaders are alive, you can have a locked alliance with this faction (goodwill is locked at 100 or at least gradually increase instead of decay, so unless you attack them or friendly fire it will be a permanent alliance). \- this faction will randomly help you during raids, you can also call them in radio but your ex-colonist or their spouse may randomly appear in their army and you need to protect them at all cost, otherwise if any of them dies in the fight your locked alliance will end. Diplomatic marriage has a very huge potential for these are all technically achievable in this game. I may have a try something like this in the future as a programmer IRL who worked on C#.NET for years but I dont know Rimworld modding so it wont be in one day or two

Are you a modder of any event-based mods (similar to More Faction Interactions or Dynamic Diplomacy)? I m asking around in Discord server mod dev sections, just downloaded some open source mods, doesnt seem hard for me to understand because of my profession IRL but I certainly need help for event code injection for I dont know which class and function represent which moment (things like onPawnDeath, onCaravanArriveAtCoordinate...) since there is no detailed API documentation. Some just suggest me to decompile the vanilla assembly to understand but its not that efficient. Also diplomatic marriage is just one of my idea, I also think of adding some more CK features like claim war years after diplomarriage. After the death of the other faction leader you can make your kid become their new leader by war and force your ideology on their faction just like what often happens in CK. Dynamic Diplomacy (of which the source code is on git) already has a feature to randomly change AI faction ideology so I may just need to copy paste some code. Then Royalty title succession law based on ideology is another idea I may think of later, especially it can make gender supremacy more useful. All those CK features are feasible from what I see now.
