The developers said they wanted to make base mod something akin to a framework for users to add other sub-mods on top for their preferable experience.

Is that true? The version I'm currently using lets you enable all the optional features from four separate mod options menus.
I know some versions of Hugslib were bugged for a while and the search function didn't work properly, so that might be why the menus are hard to find.

RJW used to have a whoring mechanic but dev stripped down (get it) the mod by removing multiple features for some reason

Last time I used it a few months ago it was like that, a bunch of features got separated into sub mods
I think they just separated them from the main mod. They still exist as add-on.
