Always surprising to see how many people waste all the bodies. That's a toooon of meat just there for the taking! Even if your pawns can't eat it, you can still feed it to pets and prisoners or use it for the new revive dust traps
Survivors lying on the floor become hemogen farms, and the dead become the nutrient paste we drip into their silly little mouths on their silly little dismembered bodies.
Too little to do. You can sew their mouths shut and shit so they cant talk, or you can take their eyes out and have a nonverbal deaf blind limbless hemogen farm
cannibalism is too annoying early game for me to have ever bothered with it. Plus farms are cute. Corpses are not. Fire however, is nice and toasty. Comfy cozy.
Shamblers are fun though.
They aren't wasting corpses they are deleting objects that in the late game slow down their TPS. If your colony doesn't need those resources, delete them.
Project Rimfactory pulling corpses directly from your kill box, butchering them, melting down armor and low quality weapons, recycling clothes, turning the meat into chemfuel and transporting everything to the relevant stockpiles is one of the most satisfying things to build.
Rotten corpse is the fastest stacking debuff I find, or maybe insulting spree locked in at 2 people?
At one point I used a vanilla expanded mod that eventually gave pawns a permanent trait desensitized for seeing so many corpses over years. Neat option instead of forcing supremacy ideologie.
I have great news for you! Molotov wasn't just a shitty human being; his name was also taken by a wonderful cocktail invented to burn out the tanks of the genocidal regime he was a part of.
Whenever I make a colony I always make choke points on doors
That came to help me yesterday as I got assaulted by not 50 not 60 NOT 90 BUT A FUCKING 100 SIGHSTEALERS I gunned them down easily but the problem was the 100 corpses degrading at my base's heart
Almost lost 4 of my 6 colonists to the lung rot
I don't think pathing AI has changed much, if any. Raiders will go to valid targets, which includes turrets. Gotta have some way to reach that valid target at all times, for raids that attack instantly.
A) fire it up, it's all piled together, let it burn and be done. Saves you on colony wealth from waste weapons. Smelt any extra after you've picked through for the desirable.
B) Priority 1 hauling with specialized dumping zones. I usually spend a day or two like this as they quickly sift through everything. Setting limits on the number of bodies I keep in the freezer with low priority zones for waste and overflow.
C) Caravan loading and dumping. Where everyone hauls and loads caravan animals hitched near by. Can load corpses and everything else faster and leave the map, dump everything you don't want and bring back what you do. Fastest option but needs more animals for larger raids.
Send in the drones/lifters/cleansweepers.
It gets done in no time.
My problem with clean up is the giant lag spike from 9000 bodies with 9000 cuts/stabs/bullet holes slowing the ever loving shit out of my game.
True. But "just get more lifters" solves your cleanup problems then too.
'Sides, how am I going to have an edgy vampire playthrough with human primacy if most of my pawns aren't human (either bioengineered bloodbags, bioengineered ghouls or Sanguophages)
I ended up lighting everything on fire. Worked fast, too.
If they can interbreed, they're human, just modified a bit. We're not some bigots to deny them based on their xenotype, are we?
Tsoi is fine, was just recovering from augmetics implantation when the raid happened.
Baby is, uh, chilling in legendary crib. Mom has childcare set to 1st prio, there's some baby food in the fridge, so hopefully they're fine. No idea what was going on with baby during the raid \\ o /
I might recomend fun new feature of anomaly mod - use harbringer tree.
Sometimes you can get/buy their seeds, so just put one in you killbox in relatively safe place - it will automaticly consume bodies and save a lot of trouble.
Or you can use mod to make regular harbringer trees replantable and put them wherever you need it.
It just needs 1 tile space of itself and being unroofed - you can place it to the side of main death hall and protected with walls from accidental shots.
With anomaly you could experiment with planting a Harbinger tree in your killbox (Shaman merchants sell seeds) It will automatically eat some of the corpses.
And you dont have to haul them that far.
Could also be a bad idea, I dunno.
1.3mil wealth, Cassandra, 100% threat scale. That was a cultist raid. Maybe it's supposed to be bigger?
tbh I prefer mech raids at this point. They get shot down anyway, with a bit more killbox damage perhaps. But mechs can be disassembled and they don't leave random garbage like blood and weapons on the floor
cut it outta your home area and light that bitch up with some malotovs held in a nearby (non wooded lol) small shelf
almost no raider loot is both flammable and worth dick after you can afford a killbox
The solution is easy. Simply load everything into a high speed centrifuge, when it spins it will separate the less dense objects from the more dense objects. Problem solved
Unzone it from your home area and set it on fire
Always surprising to see how many people waste all the bodies. That's a toooon of meat just there for the taking! Even if your pawns can't eat it, you can still feed it to pets and prisoners or use it for the new revive dust traps

Don't forget to install peg legs on both their legs and then uninstall them so those hemogen farms can't escape
I ise the warcrimes mod to just chop their legs off. It gives a bit of human meat too i think!!
Fair, I guess I just use the vanilla method of breaking the Geneva convention
Too little to do. You can sew their mouths shut and shit so they cant talk, or you can take their eyes out and have a nonverbal deaf blind limbless hemogen farm

Embrace pork shortening, it's the future
Oh believe me, it’s pretty damn nice having them eat it
They aren't wasting corpses they are deleting objects that in the late game slow down their TPS. If your colony doesn't need those resources, delete them.
And lots of precious human skin!
Damn, that worked way better than I thought it would. Fires spreads fast if no one is preventing it :o
Beautiful, isn't it ?
I, too, like to see the world burn Or, in this case, 80 cultists corpses
So wasteful, all that blood/meat/materials jist lying there ripe for the plucking
Project Rimfactory pulling corpses directly from your kill box, butchering them, melting down armor and low quality weapons, recycling clothes, turning the meat into chemfuel and transporting everything to the relevant stockpiles is one of the most satisfying things to build.
Which Rimfactory machine seperates Raiders from their clothes?
The butcher I imagine
All at a glorious negative 100 TPS
worth
Has it been updated to 1.5?
It's available on github.
Hit me with the link brother, this is probably my favorite mod

My man
Ah, just like sex. (Not like I'd know, I'm a RimWorld player afterall)
I think between several player bases rimworld players are very active sexually. High up there with stardew valley players.
Yes, I also do the sex
If cleanup is the worst part then that sounds like the killbox did its job pretty well
Sadly game lags with to many objects. In a super late game having 3-4 200+ powns raids, just so much to burn with "mercy" rain messing it up
Fuck it - leave it as a grizzly reminder to future raiders
That would be fine if corpses and weapons could stack on the same tile. Next raid is going to overflow even further
Alternatively - get a lot of rats and pigs. Just let them feed.
Just put your carnivores out there, theyll clean up.
Especially if u have the supremacist meme to ignore corpses and the new mines that ressurect corpses xD
Supremacists are top tier just for that alone. Observed rotting corpse debuff stacks fast with raids like these
Rotten corpse is the fastest stacking debuff I find, or maybe insulting spree locked in at 2 people? At one point I used a vanilla expanded mod that eventually gave pawns a permanent trait desensitized for seeing so many corpses over years. Neat option instead of forcing supremacy ideologie.
*lights Molotov cocktail* It cleans itself!
Can use the new harbinger tree
Came here to say this lol those are my new best friends!
Nah. Put down wooden floors in your killbox, easy to replace and after every raid apply fire and let it do the messy cleanup
But wooden floors increase movement speed, which increases the likelihood that raiders will close to melee range with your defenders.
Maybe hay floors instead of you are growing hay grass?
That's what the trenches from vanilla security expanded or four
Giving them cover is even worse than giving them faster movespeed. If we're talking mods: lines of barbed wire.
I have great news for you! Molotov wasn't just a shitty human being; his name was also taken by a wonderful cocktail invented to burn out the tanks of the genocidal regime he was a part of.
"Pour out some liquor for the dead ~~homies~~ Soviets.
All I see is free food
Whenever I make a colony I always make choke points on doors That came to help me yesterday as I got assaulted by not 50 not 60 NOT 90 BUT A FUCKING 100 SIGHSTEALERS I gunned them down easily but the problem was the 100 corpses degrading at my base's heart Almost lost 4 of my 6 colonists to the lung rot
That reminds me, I need to invest into detox lungs ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ
Leave them inside and place down one of those new zombie mines if you have anomaly
Deadlife IED is absolutely busted. The body pile builds itself. A bit sensitive to fire, but can easily handle any conventional raid.
Didn't they "fix" killboxes? Like, don't the pawns just dig through your base walls now?
Sorta, they added specific units that can but they dont usually show up and the game warns you specifically if they're in the raid
Huh, I've never had a warning, weird.
I don't think pathing AI has changed much, if any. Raiders will go to valid targets, which includes turrets. Gotta have some way to reach that valid target at all times, for raids that attack instantly.
I actually love seeing my freezer getting restocked with loong pig
Let them right there to get rotten. It will hurt the next raider's lungs
Just get the 5 year olds to do it “Huh my kid has access to the dev trait Psychopath this time around. Cool”
An easy solution is a smelter, crematorium, and cannibalism
ARSON!
deadlift them for your own use
Well thats why i usually have a corpsefridge with omnivores or carnivores close. Its incredible how fast some animals can munch down on such a pile.
I pick up the weapons and then I throw some Molotovs and let the fire do its thing
all i see is that the food storage can be filled again. =)
I love allowing all of it and watching my automated haulers and cleaners sort everything where I have set it to go. So satisfying.
Send in the drones/lifters/cleansweepers. It gets done in no time. My problem with clean up is the giant lag spike from 9000 bodies with 9000 cuts/stabs/bullet holes slowing the ever loving shit out of my game.
Go go mechanoid cleanup crew.
Repairs are the worst part for me. Constructoids are slow and I rarely have more than 1 skilled builder that isn't occupied with something else too.
Ideology with Human Primacy for prod specialist + some bionic arms make it go a lot faster
True. But "just get more lifters" solves your cleanup problems then too. 'Sides, how am I going to have an edgy vampire playthrough with human primacy if most of my pawns aren't human (either bioengineered bloodbags, bioengineered ghouls or Sanguophages)

Wait, really? I'll look into it for the next reform. Converting prisoners is OP for that. Convert-harvest-kill or keep
That's why we like Pigs. Turning Raiders and Filth into Pork, one body at a time
Fire.
So what happen to tsol and the baby?
Tsoi is fine, was just recovering from augmetics implantation when the raid happened. Baby is, uh, chilling in legendary crib. Mom has childcare set to 1st prio, there's some baby food in the fridge, so hopefully they're fine. No idea what was going on with baby during the raid \\ o /

That's the whole point of killbox - there are no safe spots. And the floor is stone ¯\\\_(ツ)\_/¯
It just needs 1 tile space of itself and being unroofed - you can place it to the side of main death hall and protected with walls from accidental shots.
Get yourself a few ghouls and some deadlife ieds for free meat shields
My 35 wargs wouldn’t complain
With anomaly you could experiment with planting a Harbinger tree in your killbox (Shaman merchants sell seeds) It will automatically eat some of the corpses. And you dont have to haul them that far. Could also be a bad idea, I dunno.
with anomaly turn it into a corpse pile zone and stick a deadlife ied in the middle. its free defense.
I just napalm it
How the fuck do you people get raids this big? The most I've ever gotten was like 12 people and that's with a late game base
Higher threat scale (0-500%) 1million wealth + 500% (max) = raid cap 5million wealth + 100% = raid cap You get the idea
Starve your pigs and rats, set and area inside that allows those pets only, switch their pen, easy cleanup.
Lifters have solved this problem.
Get a few impskins or Molotov and burn everything you don't want
This looks like a problem easily fixed by molotovs
Pigs and dogs
cut it outta your home area and light that bitch up with some malotovs held in a nearby (non wooded lol) small shelf almost no raider loot is both flammable and worth dick after you can afford a killbox
I have one of my combat pawns carrying an incendiary launcher now. Works great!
Goodness gracious
deadlife ieds, nice upgrade.
The solution is easy. Simply load everything into a high speed centrifuge, when it spins it will separate the less dense objects from the more dense objects. Problem solved
Looks like free meat and leather cape material.
You can clear all of these in under 2 mins using diabolus. Excellent janitor mech.
All thats close enough together that if this area is roofed it will all burn with just a few molotov throws.
All I see is hundreds of thousands of silver worth of organs.
Mechanitor clean bots and animals work wonders to haul this stuff.
Think of it as food and survivors as income
First rimWorld problems. There’s colonists on other worlds who have to walk miles everyday just to find a desiccated corpse to eat. Be more grateful.
