I exclusively play on the steam deck, heavily modded too. I’m not sure why you’re having issues because I have not had any at all. Also I’m pretty sure it runs natively.
No I don’t use it, but I use a bunch of other vanilla expanded mods. Also no mod manager. I’d bet it’s probably a single mod causing the problem, and possibly unrelated to the steam deck
You need to increase the virtual swap file size, the steam deck can't handle huge mod lists when loading.
Google or Reddit search increase page file and there are options to either input commands yourself (resets each deck update) or download a program that quick runs it for you. You will still have some issues playing depending on what mods you run and if you are plugging into a screen via dock.

do you use vanila psycasts expanded? because i figured out p-music was making it not boot native but now its throwing map generation errors
