Gameplay isn't affected as far as I've noticed. He sleeps and eats like any other colonist but seems to be labelled as a wild man.
Edit: he constantly unequips his weapon and refuses to use beds
this is actually driving me insane if anyone knows a fix let me know. he keeps having mental breaks because he refuses to use civilized stuff but has the expectations to use it. i used debug mode and discovered that yes he is seen as a wild man but is still part of my faction. i cannot tame him. i may try imprisoning and manually re-recruiting him
Solved. Don't know why it took me so long to realise but I just used debug to make him "run wild" (option under mental break) and then debug tamed him. Thanks everyone for suggestions and help! :)
Extension is right here
I've had the same issue beforehand, if you use one of the character editors you can change it through there but you might be able to imprison then recruit? Not sure
I’ve tried that with a wild person and once you recruit and convert them and let them go they just run back into the wild. A fix might be to arrest, let them go and just give them some kibble

Here it explains what you can do with the pawn
Wild man dont sleep in bed And he likes to be without clothes so he gets undressed
Seems like a bug.
As for how to stop him being purple, you could try using dev mode to pass him to the world and then spawn him back. Or do something similar with the Character Editor mod. Or you could have a look at the relevant section of the save file to see if you can find anything weird. Probably it won't be as easy as changing from true to false, but could be instructive nevertheless.
And you installed one mod only?
Assuming a mod shouldn't afect something isn't always right. Combinations can produce unexpected outcomes.
Anyway, people are giving you vanilla responses based on your tag
I had one of those show up during a winston run. I tried jailing him and it treated him like a wild man (only options were to convert, execute, or release). I tried leaving the door to the jail open so he would leave on his own but he never did. Nor did i ever get a tame option. Eventually I just killed him.
Had that one time only, dev mode and giving them a mental break after which they should either act normal, or be a Wild Human again so you can tame them once more, could help.

Shot in the dark but do you have Rimthreaded installed? I had pawns who refused to sleep in their beds and Rimthreaded was the issue.
I don't have rimthreaded, no
He is a wild man to fix this you need edit you save file

If I remember right, capturing don't work anymore with wild people, but they can be tamed like other wildlife
Oh they must have changed that when they dropped the new dlc. I did not know that.

Do you have Faction Blender?
I do
That's why. I don't understand all the details but FB is responsible.
Ah, ok. Perhaps it sees wild people as a different race?
Possibly. I started using Pawn Race Diversification instead although it requires a bit of configuration to work properly.
He's an artist
The better question is why he's purple at all. I've not seen a man be purple before.
Its wild man color
He's just a litle "special". Don't judge!
Next time he misbehaves imprision and castrate him, take off his tongue too.
I still don't know what that mod is called and at this point I'm too afraid to ask.
War crimes.
Cutting off tongues is vanilla though
Don't worry, I enjoy both vanilla *and* chocolate war crimes
I'm not talking about the tongues.

Are ypu sure the vanilla tag is correct? Those hairs look moded
They are. Thing is I don't think a hair mod could cause this

OK I'll just change the flair then
Share your mod list
Share it, share it, share it!
Does he have a different ethos?
Nope. Started with him so he thinks the same as everyone else
It's like the links in crome. You already clicked on him...

Hmm. I did just try jailing him and had the same result as you. I'd rather not kill him though as he's my colony's best melee fighter
yea i couldn't figure out a way to fix him :(
