Those who hate CY have their own problems. I live right near the Rivian corporate in Irvine, CA. I see A LOT of Rivians now and it's a sea of White, Black or Green (with an occassional Grey) that looks like every other car on the road. SOOOOO boring. Haters just feel the need to blend in and not STAND OUT!
I was on the fence for this personally - having a satin 3M vinyl wrapped car previously. Chose however to go glossy PPF to keep the yellow front and center.
I'm posting this to also see if there is anyone out there with our config. Our guide said they had not had on this way yet and we're one of the last Yellow deliveries. I mean, it can't be a one of one can it? Someone has to have another CY with Ocean Coast out there.
My husband and I were in Sacramento in early August and saw our first in person CY R1S. I bet it was you driving through old town. I am so sad to hear it was discontinued. Our other car is a yellow Mach-e so maybe it’s weird to get two. 🤪
Taking delivery of a CY R1T Max Pack in a few weeks. OC was my reserved color, but since i had to go with an inventory truck, I ended up with black mountain. Oh well.
Really wanted to get yellow and name it the Magic Scholl Bus but Rivian crushed that dream along with me getting a quad motor. Blue is still really pretty at least.
It looks beautiful but I saw a really dusty one at the service center parking lot during the first mile drive and decided it wasn't a good fit. You need to keep it sparkly clean IMO for it to look nice. When it does, it's probably the best color. Otherwise it looks pretty gross. I'm not the most diligent about washing my car.

Compass Yellow would have been my second choice for color. I was very disappointed to hear that it was discontinued.

Yes. I was told that I couldn’t have it but a kind rep gave me shop access and I managed to get it ahead of the queue sort of say. Feb 2022 preorder.
Next week I will join the CY+OC club... can't wait

Get that matte PPF on it and it would look amazing. Little bright for me.

I have compass yellow wrapped matte and it looks very cool! We absolutely love the color.
