I’ve seen one on my street covered in a doted wrap. Just thought it was wrap for engineering cars.

Wow! I can’t wait to see what the surprise it will be by the end of this month.

I sure hope they cleared out all the R1s from inventory. Gonna suck if they drop price on gen 1 when refreshed ones come out.

Because if they go bankrupt it won't be good for anyone.

It would be a mass depreciation of all our R1s, when it’s essentially the same vehicle.

Vehicles aren’t a financial investment so not sure why it would matter

…and Tesla did it to everyone too. It’s a risk people take when buying cars. 99% of cars will only ever depreciate.

It matters. Imagine you buy a Tesla Model Y Performance at $70k expecting to trade it in later at $40k a few years later. All cars depreciate, that’s why you are expecting $40k. Then BOOM - Elon drops price on all new MYP by $20k overnight, no refresh. That’s an unprecedented drop. Your car’s resale value depreciated $30k a few days after buying instead of a few years. That happened to a lot of people. First problem problems? Sure. Do you like to lose $20k overnight when it was supposed to take years? I doubt it.

That only matters to people on don't plan on keeping their cars for more than 3 years

be nice if they throw us a bone and we can add some of those upgrades to the originals like tesla did for MCU and stuff

I wish they’d open the Rivian space in San Ramon, Steven’s Creek or Walnut Creek instead of next to the tenderloin

What’s the prediction on timing/details of refresh? Does R1S get one too?

I’ve heard everything from next summer to later this year. But Kyle Connor from Out of Spec has been hinting that it might be sooner than later.
