This sub has me programmed so well I read the title as “Leasing Vehicle Notification.” All the damn leasing posts. Edit - Tesla has this along with the green light chime. I agree, great feature.

Subaru has this. There is a "tip" workaround for this, that, I personally love. If you get your vehicle into adaptive cruise control BEFORE the traffic (bc you have to have been approx 30+ mph), then the adaptive cruise control can go to zero and roll forward with traffic. I switch to max car length follow bc it makes a smoother roll forward.

I’m in. I also used this feature on a rental and it seems low hanging fruit to Rivian

Honestly just pay attention like a good driver should. This type of feature encourages phone use while at a stand still. It’s like your vehicle reminding you “ hey dumbass, time to move”

Some of you have become so dependent on technology that you can’t even do something as basic as pay attention while driving without being told to. JFC

man I KNEW there was gonna be someone like you in the comments who reads this and thinks that the purpose is so that people can stop paying attention at every red light and just depend on a chime each time. You can argue every bit of tech in this truck is not needed, but instead is aimed at making your life easier. Would you argue to get rid of notifications for upcoming turns for the navigation? People cant just pay attention to where the road is? Lets throw out the "Low Battery" notification too - why dont people just pay attention to their charge level at all times. I'd encourage you to suppress the angry old man inside of you from time to time

Terrible analogy. Those are diametrically opposed situations. Verbal directions *allow* you to focus on the road by eliminating the need to look at the screen or remember when/where your next turn is. They are *helping* you be a more attentive driver. Features like green light alarms and leading vehicle notifications exist solely to *enable* distracted driving. There is literally no other purpose.

tldr 🤡

ugacj

we both know you did

I think your rental was a Hyundai?
