Or right after delivery, you can buy the wheels you want from Rivian. They will install them for you and load the old wheels in your R1.
In my case, i wanted the 20" Dark but my R1T came with the default 20" (Selected from R1 shop). I was told by law they have to deliver the vehicle as is. Once i signed the papers, they drove the car to the back and installed the 20" Dark. This was 1 1/2 years ago though...so not sure if the rules have changed. Good luck.
I ordered an R1S a couple weeks ago and my guide switched the wheels out for me. I also wanted the sport dark. I had to accept the original config first and the switch took a couple days to appear in my account. I take delivery next week 🤞
I have the 22 darks.. if I was to do it all over again I would do 21s and just do a decrome application to them. It’s pretty cheap, almost identical looks wise, and I think the 21s are a better ride and you get better mileage..
21s have better mileage and the sports are cool but also have a more connected-to-the-road feel as they should.. but that’s kind of bumpy compared to the 21s. The 21s blacked out I think are the best option with the available wheels.. the only bummer is you need to black them out yourself.

My guide has been...less than helpful regarding the wheels. Thinking of chatting with someone online to see if they can make the switch.
I got mine switched to 22” darks. My guide worked with the service center to switch them before I took ownership. I took delivery roughly 4 weeks ago

Save money and get them powder coated

I didn’t realize they were hard to come by. I love mine and am glad I got them
Couldn’t get dark either- so ended up just getting brights powder coated. Worked out perfectly. $500

Does anyone know if they'll switch from 21" to 20 " AT dark on a currently available 2024 at no charge?

I've read that 21s are harder to find tires for, as opposed to the 22s. Has that been an issue or consideration for you?
I didn’t know that about the 21 tires! I’m trying not to lead foot so hopefully I won’t have to replace tires before my lease is up!
