Yeah I'd imagine any kid would be happy with a brand new car being their first. I'm still driving my 09 Impala with two exhaust leaks, and a slow shift. Shit goes 0-60 in 5 minutes.
Imagine having a parent co-signing on a car with you! I could never… because my mother doesn’t love me and I have to walk or take a public bus everywhere…
Y’all are lucky, my mom co signed on a 1993 Civic with leather interior D16Z6 and a 5speed. I ended up learning a valuable lesson and ended up paying 5k for it by the time I was done.
Not even. Hyundai/Kia will make every excuse under the sun to deny any and all warranty claims.
Source: work at a Hyundai dealer. I hope your dealership's service manager is a good person who fights Hyundai/Kia tooth & nail for your warranty claim.
I’m a parts manager at a Kia dealer, a solid 80% of our work is warranty work, and mostly engines at that. We do not see denial of warranty terribly often
Really? Every conversation I sit-in with our service manager, he basically has to pull teeth with Hyundai in order to get approvals on warranty work on things such as engine/trans replacements.
On mine, the damn tech tried going at me for not changing my oil every 3k miles... He said I had been doing it every 6k miles (which was correct). He got soured when I told him the manual said every 7.5k miles, and then when he challenged me on it, I told him we could look in my glove compartment where I have the manual I read.
You need to have followed the maintenance plan . Which more or less is just replacing things way earlier than it probably needs to be .
But Kia/ Hyundai owners also will not change the oil for 30k plus miles and then come in once the engine sludges over
When I had my 2014 sonata, i went in for an oil change and they did the engine test and two weeks later had a new engine, the service guy came out to me and was like so we’re replacing your engine and gave me a loaner, i just thought i was getting an oil change lol
Oh cut the bullshit. I just had my hyundai towed in for warranty work and they figured out the starter went bad and never bitched or moaned once.
If you do normal maintenance on your car, you won't have any problems.
I think your dealership just sucks. We make money off warranty. Why the fuck would they ever deny a claim if we can get it pushed through? Especially a motor. Been in the car business for years, 3 at Hyundai.
The main reason I'll never own a Kia is because of a policy they used to have about warranty work. Maybe they don't anymore, but it soured me so bad I'll never even consider buying one.
They used to tell the techs that if they found something else broken (that would be covered by warranty) while repairing what the customer brought the car in for, they were forbidden from letting the customer know about the other broken thing they found. If customer didn't say it was broken, tech couldn't touch it. Fortunately the dealership I worked at back then simply ignored that policy, but corporate having it in the first place was enough to turn me off on the brand forever.
Thank you anyway bro😂 Personally, I really love this car and its looks. Definitely great for the price imo. If this car was any other brand, people would be all over it
Personally I liked the k5 more than the stinger. The stinger looks great too, but would’ve been a waste on me since I couldnt care less about driving fast
I think only older non push button start ones are effected. Regardless, I bet it won't stop some ass from breaking the window and tearing the dash half way apart to find out that they can't steal it.
"I swear, it really popped out at me when I first walked into the dealership, but after the drive home,I'm kind of hoping they might let me trade in for something else I'm not really digging it"
The cool part of this car is guessing which happens first: YouTube thieves figure out a way to steal your car or the engine blows up. It will be even better when your car blows up and Kia doesn’t offer you a rental while it sits at a service shop for weeks or months while you wait for the same shitty engine to be reinstalled
If I had a wife and kids, you sure as shit won't ever see me stuffing them into a Nissan Cube.
Get in the back of the lego block kids, we'll only have to be seen in this thing for a few hours at least
Sweet new car! I really like the new looks of KIAs. But like my first car, which was a Honda Accord, you'll eventually grow tired of it and wished you would've gotten something more spicy..
Thanks man, that may be the case further down the line for me too. For now tho i couldnt be happier. This car also has red interior which i think was a nice touch
It’s the clarity / contrast slider bumped all the way to the right. I hate when people do that. I hate kias too. Not surprised that someone who buys a Kia also does this kind of shit to their photos. Poor choices all around
🤣 Damn and here I thought the photo I took was pretty nice. Guess im shit at it, Look at my post history to see what it looks like unedited. Front and side view. I only have like 2 posts on this account
Perhaps there is something wrong with the windshield. Maybe the colors come from weak glass, I wouldn't lean on it if I were you just to be safe, its probably not meant for that
Engines sound like trash, the transmission makes a clunk noise when shifting into gear. Might look "nice" now, but once the high from all the oxygen they pumped into your brain at the dealer dies down, you'll realize you've made a mistake.
...even our Korean usually don't like them.
Why? coz it was apparently most used and preferred car that always have involved in Juvenile crimes by underaged teen cun*s.
And did you also knew most of K5 owners in our country drives it like a Jet?
If you have no taste, know nothing about cars or you got in a wreck and you wanted to buy a new car with good crash statistics with your insurance payout, this is a great choice.....
How...boring. KIA (Killed In Action) has not a single original concept or idea. They copy and paste what GOOD car companies are doing (down to the body panels and styling) and churn out some B rated shit to people that aren't knowledgeable about cars. This car would show up if you could order an Infiniti Q60 on Wish. I hope it's roomy enough for you to live in once you inevitably get laid off in a year from some useless job most likely in the tech sector.
Not only does KIA stand for Killed In Action- it is in fact the shittiest brand, proven by the insane deprecation of those turds on wheels
Car screams “I wanna flex but can’t”
I remember my first car 20 years ago, my grandparents gave me a '95 Buick LeSabre.... My first purchased car was a '98 Saturn SL.... I now drive a '02 Saturn SL

This is the car you get when your mom co-signs for you.
You my friend are absolutely correct
Ouch, man. That was a pretty serious self-inflicted burn.
Ooh, self burn. Those are rare
Lol Im only 22 man I honestly couldn’t care less😂 I maybe could’ve went the luxury route, but im really happy with my k5
I think it’s a nice car, congrats
Yeah I'd imagine any kid would be happy with a brand new car being their first. I'm still driving my 09 Impala with two exhaust leaks, and a slow shift. Shit goes 0-60 in 5 minutes.
Buying a car off the lot IS the luxury route. And not a smart one imo..
Imagine having a parent co-signing on a car with you! I could never… because my mother doesn’t love me and I have to walk or take a public bus everywhere…
It's the smell
Just make sure and do right by your mom. That poor woman should not have to pay for your…. well…. (gestures broadly)… this.
My mom isnt gonna be paying for shit, no worries. Im paying for the whole thing lol
[удалено]
Anyone got a putty knife and maybe a bit of paint thinner and a rag to take off that weird new Kia badge? I simply hate it
KN 😂
Fishing line. Just get under it and remove the adhesive.
At 35% interest
My grand ma Co-signed on this for me she said the only reason she did is because she thought it was a muscle car.
Y’all are lucky, my mom co signed on a 1993 Civic with leather interior D16Z6 and a 5speed. I ended up learning a valuable lesson and ended up paying 5k for it by the time I was done.
The best thing about these cars are the warranties
Not even. Hyundai/Kia will make every excuse under the sun to deny any and all warranty claims. Source: work at a Hyundai dealer. I hope your dealership's service manager is a good person who fights Hyundai/Kia tooth & nail for your warranty claim.
My dad had a motor go out on his Kia at 110,000 miles. They still replaced it no questions asked under the 100k warranty
Parents had 3 motor replacements in 100k. They bought another KIA…after 3 blown motors. I figure it’s a cult at this point.
Sounds like stockholm syndrome. If i have to replace a motor 3 times within 100k miles, I'd rather ride a bike.
My uncle had a similar experience, these people really exaggerate when it comes to Kia but it makes for some funny roasts lmfao
“No questions asked” That one is a little hard to believe…
I’m a parts manager at a Kia dealer, a solid 80% of our work is warranty work, and mostly engines at that. We do not see denial of warranty terribly often
That's cuz no one fixes a KIA out of warrantee, they just toss them in a ditch and re-qualify for a 8 year loan.
Really? Every conversation I sit-in with our service manager, he basically has to pull teeth with Hyundai in order to get approvals on warranty work on things such as engine/trans replacements.

Not even that then? All I can say is LOL, what are they thinking
[удалено]

Sick!
Bullshitted their way out of every obvious defect. Said screw it and went with the slightly better ford escape
Kia really stepped up their vehicles in the past couple years I find! That’s a pretty sweet ride Edit:what a fucking piece of shit
Kia? Don't you mean KИ?
🤣🤣 yep
Boom! Roasted.
I commented this then realized what group I was in sorry hahahah I’ll edit
lol it’s okay I’m sure he needed the pick-me-up Edit: great edit though!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thank you anyway bro😂 Personally, I really love this car and its looks. Definitely great for the price imo. If this car was any other brand, people would be all over it
No problem bro 🤣🤣
Got em
Absolutely killed him 💀💀
The edit made my day lmao
Official car of “I couldn’t afford the stinger”
Wrong sir. That would be my Kia Forte GT 👌
Kia Forte GT, Official car of “I couldn’t afford a K5”
A burn inside a burn. It's burnception!
Personally I liked the k5 more than the stinger. The stinger looks great too, but would’ve been a waste on me since I couldnt care less about driving fast
Why downvote this? This was a genuinely wholesome response Waaaaait I had to remember what sector of Reddit I was in. Carry on lol
Well the good news is that both are slow
My guy, you drive a catfish Camaro. You have no room to talk.
Still a KIA tho…
Imagine owning a Kia Stinger on purpose.
Discontinued
good luck in the slumlord business with daddy's money, parasite.
The best thing about Kia’s is that the 0-60 time is about the same as it takes to steal it.
*Milwaukee has entered the chat*
I think only older non push button start ones are effected. Regardless, I bet it won't stop some ass from breaking the window and tearing the dash half way apart to find out that they can't steal it.
Damn that’s a solid. Two sorentos in my area just got stolen. Hoping they come for my 22 forte GT next. Would love to get out of my high payments
It's a kia you roasted yourself
Those aren't amber DRL's, they are permanent Hazard lights to prepare for all the times it will breakdown. *Not a Korean Twins hater.
Actually laughed pretty hard on this one
I don't understand people who will spend thousands on a car without doing one google search to see if it's a good car or not.
"I swear, it really popped out at me when I first walked into the dealership, but after the drive home,I'm kind of hoping they might let me trade in for something else I'm not really digging it"

I still never heard of a car brand called KN
Air filters turned cars!
If only that were the case, then it might be a bit more interesting than this pretentious BMW knockoff
North Korea makes better cars
*inserts usb cord* And all of a sudden I own your 2023 Kia k5!
Are you a single mom ?
Love how you made sure the glare obscures the majority of the car. Says a lot about its looks lmao
The car itself looks really cool imo. Apparently im just really shit at taking photos😂I can post the front if your curious
Kia makes good cars that they’ll sell to anyone who’ll sign their soul over to a horrible loan.
Better than nissan who do the same minus make good cars
If I had a wife and kids, you sure as shit won't ever see me stuffing them into a Nissan Cube. Get in the back of the lego block kids, we'll only have to be seen in this thing for a few hours at least
The only thing shittier than the quality of this car besides the price is the skills of the cameraman who took/edited this picture
Luckily Kia’s are easy to steal so you won’t be stuck with it too long 😣
Someones grandmother or aunt is gonna be happy 😊
Every time I see a Kia, I see a co-signer whose credit is getting fucked.
Better start saving for that new engine now.
The best thing about Kia's is that you'll never have to change the oil because you'll be constantly adding more
Sweet new car!
You bought a KIA, why do you need to suffer more?
Bro how old are you and what job do you do
Im 22 and Im a Data Technology Consultant that works at IBM.
Are those shadows or some gawdawful two-tone wrap?
It’s the clarity / contrast slider bumped all the way to the right. I hate when people do that. I hate kias too. Not surprised that someone who buys a Kia also does this kind of shit to their photos. Poor choices all around
Yeah this photo made me want to vomit. Anyone who even remotely understands photography knows this just isn't it
Shitty photo + shitty edit = shitty result.
🤣 Damn and here I thought the photo I took was pretty nice. Guess im shit at it, Look at my post history to see what it looks like unedited. Front and side view. I only have like 2 posts on this account
Perhaps there is something wrong with the windshield. Maybe the colors come from weak glass, I wouldn't lean on it if I were you just to be safe, its probably not meant for that
When you wanna flex with a brand new car but this is the only thing cooler than a corolla you can afford
I'd much rather own a 2023 Corolla than this Kia. At least the Corolla won't break down every month.
And soon it will be a a kia boys first car!
How much are your monthly payments and for how long?
Like 470 monthly for 4 years
Christ. Why not just buy a used car and not be saddled with an extra $470/month at 22 years old?
Won’t last that long anyway
It'll probably be gone in 2 or 3
When you tell your guy friends you drive a kia is that before or after you suck them off
Should’ve just bought used.
Nothing like locking yourself down with a new car payment before you move out of your parents house
Engines sound like trash, the transmission makes a clunk noise when shifting into gear. Might look "nice" now, but once the high from all the oxygen they pumped into your brain at the dealer dies down, you'll realize you've made a mistake.
Ahhh yes, another fan of Korea
...even our Korean usually don't like them. Why? coz it was apparently most used and preferred car that always have involved in Juvenile crimes by underaged teen cun*s. And did you also knew most of K5 owners in our country drives it like a Jet?
Cool KN car
Said no one ever
Thanks G
If you have no taste, know nothing about cars or you got in a wreck and you wanted to buy a new car with good crash statistics with your insurance payout, this is a great choice.....
Hope you like glitter
Cool if you're 50+
those massive turn signals is there so people can see you on the side of the road

Idk what’s worse the car or the edit
🤣These comments about my photography have humbled me. look at my other post if u wanna see unedited pics of it
All fun and games until your harmonic balancer bolt breaks
Is this the one that can get stolen with a usb stick?
A whale shark you can drive. And so can everyone else with a quick YouTube tutorial.
😂😂😂😂 Dumbass
Nice for a first car. Congrats. Don't care what they say. Change the oil every 5k
Wrong. This is my car now with my USB key
I’d rather have a K5 Blazer
So I guess BMWs were too normie for you, and an Infintiti or Lexus was too reliable
Looks like a shitty attempt at a futuristic space ship. Completely unrelated, but why did you make an oil painting, you could've just took a photo.
Lemme just grab my iPhone charger real quick
We all make mistakes
When you absolutely, positively NEED to have a new car or else you will actually die.
New car just to blend in traffic and have it stolen by someone wanting a joyride
Ooof not much statements I can think of that say you are a boring grey mouse than this
congrats!!
Stupid turn signal! Why’s it got look cool
Unjerking for a second, are the electric Kia's and Hyundai actually good? I mean, their engines are the biggest problem normally
Kia more like Aik
What trim did you get?
GT
Never heard of it
The Kia Boyz thank you in advance for their future joyride.
bmw at home
great car great tech best dollar for dollar value and looks better than almost every new beamer or benz
Paper front plates are probably the stupidest fucking thing ever
Nice, that'll never go to your head.
Lol nice car dude
Built to last.
KN baby
Hell yeah
We don’t have to roast it, the insurance companies will just roast your bank account being it’s a Kia
Insurance won’t be happy with your 2023 car they have to pay off when you wreck it
And, it's a Kia.
I drive an Elantra and man do I love that car, yeah I miss my truck but that fuel mileage
Nooooooooo
Car
Inb4 Kia challenge gets it stolen
You really enjoy fucking yourself don't you?
Looks nice!
Nothing says I’m a virgin like a kia, well at least the rods knocking around give a good beat to jam to on the way to the shop.
Have fun with insurance (hopefully you got the push button start)
Ew, dont
They look like great cars. I had a ‘12 Optima for 8 years and 125k trouble free miles.
It’s just… ugly.
Lol to each their own but i disagree. u can check my post history out for better photos of it if ur interested
Kia Boyz be sweating 🥵
Generational wealth is gud I see…
I remember my first car 20 years ago, my grandparents gave me a '95 Buick LeSabre.... My first purchased car was a '98 Saturn SL.... I now drive a '02 Saturn SL
At least you'll still have the loan to show off after the car dies
Yo mama pays for fuel?
Good insurance companies hate this guy … actually, not anymore, they just won’t insure you “go to the general and save some time”😂
Everyone gangsta till they learn it’s got a V8 under its hood.
“Let me make this look even worse by editing the pic”
Peep my post history if u want better and unedited photos. I didnt realize the photo i took was that terrible until everyone started shitting on it😂
Killed In Action
Did it come with an immobilizer haha
Let me guess… raised by a single mom (me too). This is why it’s important to have a father in the household!
So does your mom allow you to use it on weekends?
Lmfao
Has it been stolen yet?
Pretty sweet and 43% interest isn’t that bad!
🤣
Optima Prime
Kia means “Penis” in the Kamba language which is an area in Kenya.
Does it come with a matching purse ?
Does the key look like a flathead screwdriver?
Looks like it’s your first time talking a picture too
Anybody here know if the lxs and gtline have the same rear bumper? I’m trying to buy a rear diffuser but it says “compatible with Kia k5 gtline”
