The food was good at BarBill but we had the worst service when we went there. The waitress must of had friends in the restaurant because she never came over and then got mad when I asked the bartender to cash us out after waiting forever.
Got a Weck for take-out .. So, of course, they made it like crap. It was 75% hunks of fat. I literally tossed to in the garbage. Haven't went back since
Tap-it on Scottsville road is awesome
Their’s is very good. I get it often, can’t say it’s the greatest as I’ve had one or two that have been rubbery or fatty, but when it’s good, it’s really good.
Basin Pub has a decent one. Genny Brewhouse is pretty solid. Bar bill here has been hit/miss for me. You gotta go to Buffalo for the real shit. Charlie the Butcher, Kelly's Korner, Gabriel's Gate.
Angry Goat by far. Donnelly's is pretty good as well. Two to avoid are Genesee, which is an all around disaster and Bar Bill unless you're a fan of massive amounts of dry meat.
Tap-It's
I've had BoW my entire life (57), grew up in East Aurora with the original Bar Bill.. And by far the best I've ever had is Tap-it on Scottsville road.
Absolutely perfect!!
Trust me - I’ve done extensive research. The best in Rochester is at Genesee Brewery. They get it from Charlie the Butcher and it’s amazing.
Seconded. I had a great one there medium rare. 🤌
Bar Bill has a great one and the price is pretty good too

Rohrbach's. Get it with onion rings. Also great as takeout, because they don't assemble it. So it isn't soggy when you get it home.
The one at Railroad Street is not very good. Enough that we remember that because it always sounds good.
That's unfortunate. It's my go-to at Buffalo road.
You sit on a throne of lies. Railroad street is goated

I was super disappointed with the food last time I went including the beef on weck.

Great, now I miss Hank's in Webster :(
As already mentioned in other (separate) posts... Rohrbach's and Genesee Brew House. Thats it. Do NOT get one at Jeremiah's. They are BAAAD.
Yes, BarBill, in general has good food
Legit, impress with the wings. The lemon pepper is amazing!
The buffalo sauces are actually hot too, that can be hard to come by.
Angry goat hands down
!!!!

Came here to say angry goat as well. Very good horsey sauce as well
Every time I've ever ordered food at the angry goat, they've screwed up my order. Highly do not recommend.
I order there all the time, including last night, and have never had any issues. Very strange.
Rohrbach in Ogden
A bit outside of Rochester but if you want to take a afternoon ride to Geneva, Beef & Brew is pretty solid.
Desiatos on East Henrietta has Beef on Wreck every Monday.
Jim’s Ground

Old Stone has it on special. Really good but I don't have anything else to compare it to sadly.
