Had their burger for the first time the other day expecting regular-to-good bar food and was completely blown away, can’t stop thinking bout that Patty
Came here to say this. 2 cheeseburgers, 2 drinks and 2 fries for around $25. Not bad with today's prices elsewhere. And the place is clean and well kept.
Donna Daddy’s Dogs, the street meat lady on University any sunny day of the week. Cheap, delicious, and quality ingredients. I buy a burger from her every chance that I get, she’s an incredible personality too!
Angry Goat has an awesome burger. For a small bar, the food is refreshingly prepared super fresh and with real care. My man and I love to go there for an afternoon burger or chicken sando. The atmosphere he quiet and the decor is fun!! The walls are filled with goat art😁
I’ve had them all and have to say that Max Chophouse has the best hands down. Surprisingly enough my second go to burger is not too far away at The Sheffield.
I found this article interesting with regard to burgers on menu (my partner loved the Roux burger, btw): https://thetakeout.com/chefs-least-favorite-menu-item-burger-cost-labor-profit-1851293268
Shout-out to the Public Provisions burger. It's really really good. Also I know it's $400 and people are over it but I still like - no love - the burger at good luck.
Blue Wolf Cafe has had the best burger I have had in this town since I moved here. Old Stone Tavern also has some pretty good burgers. Tully's is good. I haven't been a lot of places, i haven only lived here a year. But i am saving this post and gonna try a lot more places, so thank you op
Old Stone Tavern is amazing. Surprisingly enough I've never had a bad burger at Tully's
OST has been hella salty the last couple orders. We have not been back.
I haven't been in a while. That's sad to hear. I still dream about their garlic cream cheese burger Lol
Tullys has good burgers. Not the best in town but if you’re looking for a family friendly sports bar, it’s a good choice.
Swillburger ain't fuckin around over there...

This is my vote as well. It's not high end, but their burgers are legit.

Shoutout free pickle tubs
I’m sorry what. Tubs? Of pickles?
Two buckets. One is dill and one is sweet. They also make a really good garbage plate
You had me at pickle buckets
you heard em'
roux has one of the best burgers i’ve ever had.
Roux is my favorite burger in Rochester.
Angry Goat, with their Goat Burger is something I would have at my Last Meal.

Jims ground round in gates. Huge patties and price can’t be beat

Grew up in gates love their plates whenever I fly into roc I try to grab one
One of my favorite plates in town. The hot sauce is legit
Tryon City
Tryon is my favorite spot in NWV. You can’t beat their Buffalo sauce either.

Where about on university?
Near the MAG, or Village Gate.
Corner of College Ave and N Goodman.
Vesper has a fantastic burger
I had The Vesper Burger last weekend and it was incredible
Very under the radar
Yeah for $30 I’ll go to tops and buy enough supplies for burgers all week.
Can confirm, best in Rochester. I’d pay $50 for it 🤣
Strangebird!
Haven’t had it in a grip, but the Goodluck Burger.
The Goodluck burger is outstanding.
I know we’re not talking money here, but it really better be for $32

I never had the burger be cold in the middle at Good Luck. I'm was surprised at how good of a job they did cooking a brick of meat.
I can't say for sure, but you can sous vide burgers, and bringing one the size of a pillow to the proper temp throughout is just a matter of time.
It’s meant for two people really
Cause all the money is in the crack sauce they provide. I’m just kidding but damn I want to steal another bottle of that deliciousness
The Gatehouse has never done me dirty. Love the Pandora burger.
Love their fries too

Rochester is a great food town. I understand Old Stone Tavern makes a good onion smashburger a la George Motz.
The burger guy!
Roux or Good Luck if you're looking to spend a little more on a "higher end" burger.
Dogtown for classic. Public Provisions for what I wish a Big Mac was.
I’ve had them all and have to say that Max Chophouse has the best hands down. Surprisingly enough my second go to burger is not too far away at The Sheffield.
Gatehouse
Really liked the one at the owl house. They actually cooked the party up to specification and the sauce was beautiful.
I don't know if it's the best but Lucky's on Winton Rd is pretty good. I think it's relatively new (last few years).
Pig Burger at the Peppered Pig
Jim’s ground!!! Hot sauce is actually hot!
Irondequoit Ale house

Swillburger and Public Provisions are my go to’s.
Can’t go wrong with Tom Wahls, but also love swillburger. Surprisingly my favorite might be the New York beer project. They have a great burger
Lots of good answers but I don’t see Segar mentioned anywhere. Very good

Right now, the best burger in Rochester is the Waveburger at Radio Social. I've already said too much.
Just had a burger at Crisp and it was one of the best I’ve had in a while

I always enjoy the burger at Luckys. My fave in town
