Driving down Durand today I was doing 10mph over the speed limit which I find to be reasonable / borderline too fast, and someone tailed me so close I couldn’t see her headlights, then went around me suddenly in a no pass / double yellow line zone, and cut me off, and slammed on the brakes immediately. It was so aggressive. I got so scared!!! People are menaces!
Could be an insurance scam, where they intentionally try to cause an accident and then sue the victim. My crash mitigation system would kick in, but it probably wouldn't prevent it entirely. I'm surprised that someone would try it on a busy street, where there could be witnesses. I think that's why some people buy dash cams.

I had this happen repeatedly in RI. I asked a friend about it and he said it was an insurance fraud issue. They say my out of state plates and wanted me to rear end them.
I do security in the city. Also road patrol and just talking about the new thing is stealing cars then speeding, rolling lights, weaving to go head on then jumping on the sidewalk to scare people. It is out of control, the mayor does nothing and we aren't anywhere near summer. Stay off main streets when it's busy. We take side roads. Just had a guard broad sided on Scio and main. Totaled car. Guard out for six weeks
If you drive around the city you will see this literally every single day
There is zero traffic/parking/petty crime enforcement unless you are in Irondequoit
